I don't know what I was thinking posting this in MD since it's pretty much dead. Anyway,
I'm in love with her Fisherman's Woman album, and am looking for something else like it, aside from her other stuff (which I've already bought). I really enjoy the singer-songwriter aspect of her stuff, but it's just ambient enough to be completely comforting.
I know Imogen Heap, Norah Jones, Bjork, etc. whom I've heard comparisons to... but there's something more timeless and calming about Emiliana.
Any suggestions? In particular, I'm looking for artists with a sound similar to Emiliana's on the Fisherman's Woman album, rather than her earlier work which is quite different.

I love the first, but I LOVE the second.
She and Imogen are both on my list of artists to see for sure. |
