hey, everyone! for a couple of days now i've been seing these strange alerts in zonealarm:

The firewall has blocked Internet access to your computer (UDP Port 6669) from 218.221.91.222 (UDP Port 61003).

anyone know what those alerts mean? i know there's a trojan called vampyre that listens to port 6669, but do those attacks mean that i have it on my pc? or are those just multiple annoying port scans? caz i see 50-60 of these alerts in like 20 minutes. any help?

I wouldn't worry about this if i were you. Even if your computer carries a Trojan ZA is clearly blocking access to your PC. As for the number of alerts i get around 50 alerts in 10 secs. I used to keep a log of them, but the file grew like a mother******, so i stopped. But i'd suggest that you run a virus check just to make sure.:)

Do you use any peer to peer software programs? (I think BearShare uses port 6669, not sure what the other one is.)
I used to get that a lot too but now I don't need Zone Alarm.
My thought that it was queries or people trying to continue their downloads from you.

i used to have BearShare, but that was like 2 months ago
and yeah, i did a scan, and there are no viruses
but it's funny, looks like someone wants to DOS me
