short of taking a bunch of screenshots...idk...I've seen programs that'll do it for you, but I can't remember the names...but yes, there are ones out there for this specific purpose. |

same, but I think there're programs that'll do it straight from the vid...where you just pic the time frame, how many frames you want, etc. |

You don't even have to do that. If your movie is already in .avi format, you can open it straight from ImageReady and it will have all the individual frames seperated for you. It doesn't work all the time tho. Codec compatibility issues and all. And if the avi is too big, it'll freeze your PC. But it's worth a try. |

hahaaaaaaaaaaa
realized i did have imageready
downloaded a copy of virtualdub
virtualdub turns an avi into a folder of single frames, all jpegs
imageready turns those into an animation, which can be exported into...
photoshop, where i resized it and exported it as a .gif
that took way too long
nonetheless....new avatar!
a much happier one to boot :p
ninja: you know in the newest star wars when vader goes nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?
i just did that when it told me the file was too big :(
lol turns out having 30 frames of the exact same thing at no delay is a waste of space when you could just have one frame take up all that time :p
ninja again: holy ....20,000, not 200,000

U R now gifsavvy. Congratulations.
btw your avatar reminds me of this one gif of this Asian guy who kept appearing out of the closet, walks to the edge of the screen, and then gets shot in the head by himself. What crazy fun gifs are. :disbelief |

welcome to my world.
if you get close to 20,000 and dont wanna cut frames. Go here and upload image. then under optimize select reduce colors. Then pick something where it doesn't distort it too much and fits under 20k. :) |
