That's a Series IIx. 8 voices of 8 bit sampling, each voice with exactly 16K of RAM. The IIx Means it has MIDI..
You want a longer sample? Lower the sample rate...
It's also an additive digital synthesizer with resynthesis on top of sampling, which was actuall more of an afterthought when they started.
In the video they're playing in Page R which is similar to how many of the trackers work. Cost a much as a mid-size house in the early 80s.
If anyone is really interested in Fairlights and the history of sampling then I'd be happy to chat about it at length (Not going to bore people unless I get asked).
For the record I've owned both a IIx and an early Rev III and I made the "Offical" Sample CD of the II Fairlight library (Digital Domain Fairlight Library disk).
