so i was pressing the alt + back arrow combo to go back, and i missed and hit some unknown combo of keys. the screen flcikered off and on and everything is now sideways. the start bar is on the right side of the screen, the menu bar for this broswer is on the left side. as i type this, the text is going from bottom to top. how do i fix this. btw this is not on vista, it's the onewith the blue bar and green 'start' button (idk the name, it's not my computer)

Easily fixable, I did it once, forgot how to fix it though.

Did you figure out what the shortcut combo was?

All I know is that you can set it in the display settings portion of the control panel. I tried turning my computer (notebook) sideways for a while (to take up less desk space), but it wasn't worth it.

hey, some people look for problems, others give solutions :p Actually though, my cousin has a monitor that revolves 360degrees so that would be possible :p

maybe the answer is in the 'tipping' thread

Check the control panel for your gfx card. Most cards in the last two years usually have an option to rotate the screen somehow.
