What should have been just another wild and dangerous hard-partying weekend without consequences for Lindsay Lohan has turned into a nightmare with career-ruining potential.
Following a car accident in Beverly Hills during the wee hours of Saturday morning, the 20-year-old was nabbed at hospital by police who arrested her for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Police also found a "usable amount" of cocaine at the scene of the crash, believed to have been stashed inside her car.
Lindsay was allegedly driving her Mercedes on Sunset Blvd after partying at LA hotspot Les Deux when she lost control of the car and went up on a gutter.
Police found the vehicle at 5.30am after receiving a 911 call reporting a "one car hit and run", but by that time Lohan had left the scene of the crash in another vehicle and was receiving treatment for minor injuries at Century City Hospital.
Authorities then "tracked Ms. Lohan to the local hospital, where she was ultimately placed under arrest," said police in a press conference last night.
After conducting a blood test, Lohan was released to continue treatment at the hospital for "something to her upper chest area."
Police are waiting for blood test results to determine the substances Lohan had in her system, and they have not ruled out laying down more charges.
The 20-year-old actress is just one month shy of being old enough to legally drink alcohol in the United States.
Following the incident, Svedka vodka has pulled out of sponsoring Lohan's 21st birthday bash, which was to be held in Las Vegas in July.

that really sucks.
i'm all for her partying ways cuz i am not a hypocrite.
Only thing is I def drive better and therefore, never got caught. Sucks to see someone go down. But if it was stashed in her glove compartment then the cops are F U C K E D!
