Should I take this new job?

It's been brought to my attention that my friends Mom is looking to hire about 5 people to work at the EB games distribution center for testing refurbished consoles. So I let her know i'll give her my resume tomorrow and blah balh blah.
She said its a shoe in, and I'll be able to start monday.
its more money. closer, and by all accounts a better job.
She says it's a permanent job too, but I'm not entirely sure.
I mean my job now kinda sucks. It's easy though, all I do is sit at my desk and listen to talk radio and type in data.
I've got benefits and vacation....but I just about hate all 8 people there. minus about half of them.
I'm gonna take a sick day on thursday and go for an interview.
MAYBE i can talk my company into giving me a huge raise. thats the other perspective i could be looking at.

| Think about what will be better in the long run as this seems to be something that will turn out permenant. This EB games thing sounds interesting and could totally be worth a shot. do it. |

heres to bluntness.
quit your current job. you already are quite miserable already. it just gets worse as time goes on. dreading going into work every day SUCKS! go for the new job. you will more than likely be better off. |

walk in there the first day and (while testing), say (or write) : "well, the systems texture memory appears to be diminished in quality, and that is lagging the full potentinal of the texture quality of this unit to it's mandated specs out-of-the-box brand new. The Phong Shaders are completely filled with vertex artifacts. Being this, I do not agree with putting this wonderful system back on the shelf as re-furbished. THE CUSTOMER COMES FIRST"

this job sounds like something for a high school kid. all you have to do is turn on the console and make sure it works or something? wtf do you need a resume for? "related experience : i often turn on my xbox when i want to play video games."
how much are they paying you? and how old are you?? |
