...my dad. Even though I have distanced myself from him ever since I moved to Long Island back in the mid-90's, I am so happy to see him leading a successful and happy life with a family of his own. Time and time again I glance over his various achievements, set in writing... But never have I wept tears of joy to see just how far he's come. Until today. He'll never know just how proud I am of him.
I love you, dad. Thank you for being an amazing role model and for trying your best to keep in touch with me even though I didn't try my hardest to get through to you. Thank you.

I'm trying to go for a serious/semi-serious thread here so... please try to keep things on topic. Basically, list who you're proud of. If you want to give reasons, go ahead. If not, that's fine too. |

This makes two serious, fairly-reminiscent threads in the COR tonight. Who gave all of you the happy pills? But in all seriousness...
I cannot think of a person who has had a greater affect on my life and who I am more proud of than my dad. He's the hardest working, funniest, wittiest, most outgoing, greatest individual I've ever met. He ing rocks.
Oh, and my mom, too. |

It's nice to hear/read people speak/write like that Yan. Cool :)
I don't think I would put either of my folks into the role model category, but they'll always have my love none-the-less.
Respect though :) |
