im going to one of these games saturday... what am i to expect? is the field the same lenght and normal football? same ball? same rules?
someone run a quick 411 on what arena futbol is plz :D |

much shorter field, different ball, walls (yeah, you can check people), and tiny goal posts with a net behind & around them. If the ball hits the net, it's still in play, so kick-offs bounce off and they catch it & run. The walls are out of bounds. Also, there's a 'gunner' for every play--a wide out who gets a running start. the ball's snapped right before he gets to the line of scrimmage.
Expect a TON of points--60-50 games aren't at all uncommon. |
