CD drives breaking down and not reading the CD... It has to me many times.
Ive tried switching different drives... :(
Switched Pci cards... :( that didnt' work
switching plugs inside the computer :whip: and each time i put a disk in, and open it... it says, "Please insert disk" when the disk is already in the drive; but it knows it's there.
Now im using my dad's labtop to download my music... but to avoid the same thing to happen, what should i do and what did you guys do about a similar problem |

as in it was external and it's connected to a PCI:USB 2/4 port card? |

I'm assuming these drives use IDE interface and not SATA. Have you checked your IDE cable? |

lol my cd driver decided to stop working for couple of months and i tried it once randomly for s and wala it worked. |

i've found the life span of a cd-r drive is about 3-5 yrs. this will vary based on frequency of use. not a big deal they're cheap so who cares? |

in the inside of it... not a USB
