The worse is when you go to the theater and buy tickets. The random 17y/o ticket girl goes "Would you like to donate $1 to help kids fight cancer?" You feel like a total douche if you don't do it because there are like 20 people behind you, listening in, and it is freaking kids with cancer. I did it twice last year or something and now they're doing it this summer too! Last time I went to the theater, I was like "no thanks," and I turn around and get the evilest eye from the people behind me. Not to mention if you're on a date, that is the worst way to start it off. "I dont want to give $1 for the ing cancer kids, I'm a selfish man-whore." pfft...stupid regal entertainment |

hearing about children with cancer while going out to entertain myself would be a major turn off, especially when backed up by lamer than lame marketing tactics. Being shamed in public for it makes it even worse. If that happened to me, the theater would lose a customer. Damn, one reason for me being glad I've got my own home cinema. |

I've worked with the Ronald McDonald house. I'd say it's pretty legit. |

um, no. If that is, in fact, what they're putting the money into, it's legit and an excellent charity. They help out families whose children are terminally ill during the process, fyi |

I call that marketing investment in public needs. Of course, it is good for the kids & their families. Great gold mine for McDo who can save millions in advertising. They don't give a about kids. It's all about the money in the first place.
Reduce your risk of getting cancer : don't eat mc food |

you don't know what you're talking about, and it's offensively inane. Leave. |

Have you ever had anything to do with this charity? Have you worked with them? Have you talked to them? Have you steped inside a facility where these kids play, eat, live? ...Didn't think so.
Even if it's only for the moola, the kids are still getting helped and at the end of the day that's what matters. |
