My friend emailed me this morning and told me that his dad had died. he was very sick, and his time finally came this morning.

me and him have been friends for years, and he got me into trance, showed me how to spin, and has been a trusted friend of mine for awhile. this is the email i sent back to him, i thought some of you might appreciate it.

oh man.. i am so sorry, my deepest most sincere condolences. I really feel for you man. That is really sad.

But, in a way, it was waiting to happen. He went peacefully, and he has moved on out of this world now, as we all someday will. it's a part of the cycle.

I guess it's kind of like when the record ends, and you just feel empty. :) But, there are many records in this world, i know that none will ever replace your father.

But his song has played, and played well i am sure. the universe will continue on regardless of the comings and going of us mere mortals. I didn't know your dad, but i don't think he would have wanted your song to linger long in sadness. nonetheless, take as long as you need to mourn his passing.

you can call me anytime, you know my number ###-####. if you need someone to talk to, you can call my fiance she is home all day today, she would talk to you about it too, she is very good at this kind of stuff.

I think you said it pretty well, for what it's worth.
