Say I have the game/cd image burnt to another disc but not the system itself...is there a proggy or hack that I can install that would allow me to play the game on PC?
I really don't want to get a PS3 when GT5 comes out :(

no way man, not anytime soon. You need serious processor power to try to emululate hardware, especially the current top systems.
There is a new hack that seems to be working for PS3 that allows a copied game to boot with PS3, and of course the 360 has been hacked for a while now.

Only reason I would ever dare of buying a PS3 is Gran Turismo. I love that series and I hate the fact that they won't ever port it to PC. And screw Forza, that game blows. By the time GT5 comes out though the PS3 might go down more, though I doubt it :(

emulating the hardware alone will take a lot of work let alone having a system powerful enough to run the games the way they would run on the system itself! dont waste your time. just buy a ps3

what?
GT is the original, but the AI is terrible and the physics a terrible second. everything else is superb, but if you have ever actually raced a car in real life, you would realize that forza is much more realistic and therefore challenging than GT. GT hasnt really innovated since GT2...| (actually it has gone backwards in some ways as GT2 featured simulated damage to the car)

yes, but the course design and art direction of GT are unsurpassed by most. the gameplay is still terrible, which is why forza provides something interesting if you cannot run GTR on your PC.
GT has devolved into a car collecting sim with very pretty graphics, it has almost no physics or AI to speak of, and i cannot see how it could be more impressive than this, even if you could afford all those PS3's:
GT Legends is still more fun, even with terrible graphics|

true, but most players wont use that view...its too hard!!! (like driving a real car)
then again this is exactly what im referencing in terms of adding features to a car collecting simulator that purports to be a 'driving simulator'. they should make the physics and driving model top notch, since the ps3 can handle that, and then make the features and graphics top notch, not the other way around|
