is it just me or are people not as friendly on this board as they were...well, even 6 months ago...?

I just posted an album request in the Music Discussion area. I know you're not supposed to and I even said it in my post that I know you're not supposed to but I didn't know WHERE to post it because the other areas say single requests only and there are two people posting calling me a "fucin looser" for doing it. wtf?

Maybe it's just a joke, I dunno, but it seems harsh either way

It's been pretty clear for a long time that asking where to get albums (or even .CUE files for albums) is not allowed on here...

It brings undesired attention...

I didn't know that though! I've never done it before, never. I don't usually look for music so I never go in those sections ( don't even know what a CUE file is). And I tried looking for where to post it and couldn't find it...*sigh* whatever...if I had known it would cause so much strife i never would have done it, I didn't know honestly. I also just fixed my computer so I haven't downloaded any file sharing programs yet and just thought I would check here first. I just deleted the thread.

Don't worry bug_bite, we still love you in the Chillout Section.

Some people never leave a section and probably thought that you came to TA just leeching Albums. We know you better. Everyone's still cool here, and with the summer it's gonna be a mad house here.

Yea I should post some rules to make it more obvious.. :)
!_PeTrUs_!
Just ignore them, they don't know where it all comes from. They think there all that when they are in a AG group .

If you have a request just ask me. :D

..and nice Avatar Sw4mp3r, is it a sneak preview of the new design ;)

i wouldnt worry about it bug_bite... there are a few losers on here that have nothing better to do than bitch... there are also people that are unable to argue nicely...

but thats just the global society... maybe us nice people are an endangered species :(
bug_bite
awww, you guys rule. I was acting all foolish "poor poor pitiful me" type stuff and look at how great you were haha

Anyways, yah, rules are good, and I am sorry for posting it and causing a big ruckus...

Here at home between me and my boyfriend we've got about 600 records and about 200 cds so I don't really bother with the internet music thing, I suck. ;) I just don't know where to find stuff that's all. (The whole reason I was looking for it becasue I was studying and wanted to listen to it last night)

btw, what IS a cue file? hehe
JohnSmith

Well, i would say search for it, there are plenty of threads in relation to that....but , instead of going thru all that trouble,
it's basically a text file (named .cue) that hold info about the way a track (ex. a cd, or liveset) is split up (ex. by individual tracks)
so that you can record a cd using those...
Here's another description taken from <> Djmixes2k <>

"The mysterious cue file..

A cue file is basically a .txt file that enable some burning progs to "cut" continuous large mixes into audio tracks. The mix still play continuously but you can have direct access to the different tracks if you wish. Of course it is not necessary to use a cue sheet but without it you'll have one large continues track only. CdrWin, FireBurner and the latest NERO understand cue sheets nicely. If you want to burn your mix using the cue just open CdrWin, Record Disk, Load CueSheet, browse to your .cue file and burn. That's it! Make sure the .mp3 file and the cue are in the same dir! For mixes longer than 80mins, you need to cut the mix to 80 or 74mins if you wish to burn the mixes as audio and you need to edit the cue file. To cut the mp3 file you can use mp3DirectCut (http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/) or your favorite sound editor. To edit your cue, open it in NotePad and delete all tracks that passed your cut mix playing time.(74 or 80mins..) A new Winamp plugin also enables you to play the set/cue as a continues file with direct access to the different tracks. Get it here http://www.guerillasoft.com/mp3cue/index.html
Also if you want to create your own Cue sheet you can use NotePad or if you feel really lazy you can use CDRCue Cuesheet Editor located here http://www.dcsoft.com/prod03.htm
