in my univ, the ones i've taken have been a waste of time... i'd go for fully online if it's an option.

i feel that 95% of the class ends up being online (tests/quizzes/assignments) and we just show up in class every other week to just review the stuff we were to have read at home.

My current The Biology of Being Human class is about 70/30 (although the 30% can also be found online in the form of previously recorded videos of the lectures).

I attend all my lectures (I'm only taking chem & bio courses) after reading the suggested readings. Helps me with concepts I didn't get during the read-through while solidifying the info that I did understand.

Plus, sometimes 's discussed that's not in the book that ends up on the midterms & final.

i have contemplated dropping it as it was a lot different than i expected. not that i dont mind different, ive just started school for the first time in 6 years. not sure im in the swing of things to be that dedicated yet.

if you don't have the discipline to do stuff on your own, don't get into online/hybrid courses yet. are your tests online or in class? if they're online it's obviously way easier to cheat.

well its freshman composition. he has us do a lot of critical thinking on our own and within groups. this is to stimulate other views and what not for our writing.

but yeah thats why i contemplated dropping it. so that i can get into the swing of things before i actually do an online course.

What are you studying?

You know,

I feel like taking an on-line philosophy course, just for the sake of it. I study a lot by myself anyway, but I wonder whether it's really worth is, as the university offering this course has no presite prestige whatsoever :p

edit: Damn, I need to get some sleep :D
