Alternative reality games, anyone participate?

The last week I just learned about ARGs, alternative reality games. How it works is you create a social community with a group of people. You then post videos, blogs, and other internet forms of communication about a fictional story that is taking place in real time and life. Then the people that are in the social community try to figure out the mystery that is happening by solving puzzles and looking for clues. The best part is that the fiction characters interact with the normal people through the community site. It's pretty cool.
I'm one that just started called Harper's Globe that is a tie in for the CBS show Harper's Island. The biggest ARG is something called lonelygirl15 or LG15.
Has anyone had any experience with ARGs? What do you think of this form of entertainment? |

I followed the ARG's for LOST for the past few seasons but not that closely. When done properly they can be quite entertaining. |
