nah, the Wipeout games on PS1 had the best soundtrack ever. Every tune fit perfectly with the racing.

a little of both I believe.. They used some popular tunes but I'm pretty sure I read about the artists like Chemical Brothers creating songs specifically for the game. DJ Sasha definitely made several tracks for Wipeout 3 (including Xpander I believe). The developers hired him as head of music direction so he chose all the other songs too. I had a good sound system on my TV back then and remember getting goosebumps when Loops of Fury came on during a race. Nothing beats being in a tight race, flying around corners at 400MPH and shaking the house with that tune. ;)
yeah it's not electronic but I don't care.. brings back so many damn memories..especially :48 of the second song. So much is contained in that one note..every memory and every word that Aerith said during the game. She was one of my main people for a good 30 hours into the quest, until that bastard killed her. :whip:
