A good budgie diet consists of shop bought high quality parakeet seed. You can also supplement this with additional pellets.
Budgies also love millet which can be bought in sticks. They clip to the side of the bird cage and are usually divulged by your parakeet within days.
Calcium is important in any bird's diet, and the best way to supply your budgie with calcium is with a cuttlefish. To provide your pet birds with all the goodness of nature give them fresh fruit and vegetables on a daily basis. Always clear away used foods after a few hours. By sitting the vitamins and minerals will perish and be of no use for your budgie bird.
Our budgie loves to have a bath. Therefore we always have a plastic dish with tepid water at hand for our birds to bathe in.
