Do you get to send them back?
Halcyon+On+On
I've been meaning to go to the store to pick up some refugees recently, but I just can't quite seem to make the time.

Genius. Get them all together, then deport them! America, take note.

Some interesting off handed remarks...
The UK gave me a home when I wasn't welcome in the place of my birth and while I no longer live there, I'll always remain a citizen.

Why weren't you welcome in your country of birth?

Haha you beat me to it.

Out of curiosity, Lilith, if Mugabe kicks it, would you or your family ever consider going back? I know you must have been pretty young when you left.

In 1980's South Africa I wasn't cracker enough to qualify for citizenship! :) So I got sent to the UK to live with the relo's when I was about 5. Different world back then.

Never going back Lebz, my mother had a property there she bought in the early 90's and for the most part it was a much nicer place than the rest of Africa to live, I'd visit in between school holidays and later in between working before everything went to hell. It's her place and she died there, it's not my home and I nearly died there a couple of times in the process of leaving with my family members that where too stupid to bugger off when they had the chance.
While I do hope the country manages to rebuild, I've seen enough people get killed doing something idealistic like that for one lifetime. Africa is a serious, reality wake up call for anyone who thinks they're hard enough...
