Black kids asked to act as slaves
quote: | CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A controversial history lesson left parents and teachers upset in Union County. The teachers plan to write letters to leaders at the historic Latta Plantation about their disapproval of a hands-on history lesson during a Rea View Elementary class trip Wednesday.
During a lesson on the Civil War, tour guide Ian Campbell, made black students pretend to be slaves in front of their white classmates. |

1. Were these black parents thinking they are going to send their kids to the cotton fields or something? Just a school lesson for christ sake but.....
2. The tour guide is to blame as well . He could of did a better job by having her white students perform as salves also to not make it so obvious of a bias decision who did what. |

lol im the exact opposite of that picture. if i'm walking alone down a street and a black dude is walking towards me, i just look right at him and say "what's up" or nod at him. the look of shock on their face is always amusing to me. |
