Read about this in New Scientist a few weeks back. Different hydrophones set up to listen to both whales and dolphins but also the effects of shipping.

The one with the most activity seems to be East Sicily. Theres loads of hidden features on it that will tell you how far a way its coming from and what species of marine mammal is making it. |
