Here are some facts: ?Kingdom Tower? will be one mile high. It will contain almost 12 million cubic feet of space. It will be part of a larger urban development built to house about 80,000 people, at a cost of almost 30 billion dollars. Using your average elevator, it would take 12 minutes to reach the zenith.
These things are kind of irritating, really. Like the current tallest one, the Burj Khalifa, over 90% of which is still completely unused. Just a pointless monolith standing there.
All style, no substance.

Great! They're thinking keep playing, keep buying yourself new toys, keep spending $50,000 a night on your hotel room, but don't invest in your infastructure... don't build a real economy. So that when you finally wake up, they will have sucked you dry, and you will have squandered the greatest natural resource in history...

Seriously, it might as well be a giant statue of Zeus or something instead. It would be more badass that way.

Last night it felt weird going to the 14th floor to a movie theater. I had to get a ticket to wait for my number to be called to then buy a ticket. After selecting our assigned seats we then sat in the wrong ones as the whole theater was empty except for the ones we sat in and were still asked to move b/c somebody else wanted to sit in them.
This story was worthy for this thread.
