Alright I have had a vision for the past several months or so to open up an e-zine totally dedicated to ALL of the genres that co-inside with electronic music.
Just about every DJ/musician I've asked to help write articles for the magazine has said yes. I have asked several but did not give them contact for a few months so they've probably forgotten me by now.
I built the website myself, outlining how I wanted it to be and so forth. It's a unique design but I believe it could be better. Done by some other person actually.
So I ask of some help from my fellow TA's to help establish a community and informative website to blend all genres of electronic music into one forum and site. This has never been done before and I would really like for some people to help contribute.
If you are interested in forming what I call Rise.net then respond to this thread and keep it on bumping up...
I would love a good web designer who believes this is a good idea to figure out a good way for the writers to post up articles...etc...
and to get a good forum started...This site would be very beneficial to the electronic music scene. It would combine all the genres...
Drum n' bass
Acid Jazz
Techno
Trance
House
Progressive
Downtempo
etc...etc...
So gimme ur responses...and let me know what you think you can do to help. Thanks!:D |

Dude I think it's a good idea. And I support you all the way and If I could help out some how I would. :D Though I don't know what I could do. I do webdesign and graphic design, but unfortunatley I have school now and that leaves me no time at all to work on that anymore. :( |

I do web dev too, and i think that is a great idea. I would help out too, but i am too busy right now.
That would be a great site, i imagine something like this one, but bigger, and with areas for each genre of electronic music.
only thing is, imagine the fights! it's bad enough here, people who hate oakenfold, tiesto, pvd, whatever.. imagine the arguments that would ensure between drum and bass fans and downtempo lovers?
anyway, just a thought, that doesn't mean you shouldn't build the site though!
personally, i'm getting into house music a lot lately, and i wish there was a site as good as this one for house music, and maybe one for techno too. |
