i posted this in the humor forum but i'm thinking more of you'll probably see this in the chill out room and also because of all the talk about cars that go on in this section.

what your 1990-1996 can look like after being kitted up.

more pics and specs here.

all of the kit cars on that page are pretty tight, but for what the donor car is, the attack is the best, and prettiest imo

i also figured that the honda accord would have the most universal appeal on this board as i don't think the Camaro or Firebird are that widely seen on the road outside of the US. Imports rock domestics.

When you first posted this yesterday I spent an hour on that site, and seriously considered getting the attack...later But yeah, I think they just turen the camaro into a prelude by the look of it on some angles.

Welp, coming from the rice capitol of the world, you will be forgiven for your foolish words. Grocery getters are not racecars.

if you read my response correctly, there is no mention of them being racecars. their are very few cars that are american which i would ever consider buying, they just don't stack up to most japanese or european imports. Whether they be grocery getters or race cars most american cars just don't cut it.

That new honda accord is horrible Jp.

I have 1998 honda accord (Well its my parents but i drive it) and i think it is amazing. VTEC all the way!

I would LOVE to see you name some same priced cars that can compete with American cars, ESPECIALLY race cars. Somewhere along the lone, people get brainwashed into thinking imports are superior. Hell, I even see beater Chevys & Fords from the 70s still on the road. Can't say the same about imports.

and i would love to see you name any domestic engine that pumps 120hp/liter (S2000). when people are talking cars in here, i find that they always LOVE to put down japanese imports by using their displacement to compare with big liter engines from an american muscle car which is priced the same.

of course i am not saying you in particular, stamina daddy. this is a trend that i have seen from previous discussions on TA about cars. again so the price is the same but that is something else. if you are talking power for power, you really should be comparing apples with apples and oranges with oranges. I4's with I4's, V6's with V6's.

ITR => 195hp, 130lb/ft @ 1.8L DOHC VTEC

i haven't seen or heard any domestic car that can output that kind of power from a 1797cc motor. then again i'm not THAT into domestics to have known about it. maybe it really exists. if it does, please show me. :rolleyes:

for are a few more examples

S2K => 240hp, 158lb/ft @ 2.0L DOHC VTEC
SiR => 160hp, 111lb/ft @ 1.6L DOHC VTEC

and for those that are quick to jump on torque. well yes most or all hondas do lack torque but that is based on displacement. as displacement increases, the torque increases. most of you should know that.

when you have a 2.0L or less motor, you're not going to have a lot to work with. torque is only the low end power. yes it will move you off the line quickly if you have more but eventually (esp. when you are racing and moving up the power band)you will also depend highly on your high end power which is your hp and the lack of torque will not be as significant.

i think hondas or japanese imports for that matter, deserve more credit than most TA's give them. anyway thats just what i think.
if you think i am totally wrong on this, feel free to disect what i just said. i'm still in the learning process about cars and am willing to learn new things if you can bring it up. :)
