The 80's and 90's... Punk, Pop, Rock, Grunge, Rap, R&B, Hip Hop

If you are under 20, name your favorite 90's videoclip/song
If you are over 20, just name the 80's track you really like

How about a top 3? And why that specific song?

Off course you could also make a list of both decades :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

1980's

1- Van Halen - Jump:

It's a Dutch band (except for singer David Lee Roth), the clothes are so 80's and I like the uplifting sound.

2- Elton John - Nikita

I was always deeply interested in the Berlin wall, I liked that Rolls Royce and that Soldier girl was pretty hot!

3- Genesis - Land of confusion

The video with the Spitting Image caracters like Reagan, Thatcher and Khadaffi is one of the funniest ever. Great song too!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

1990's

1- Paul van Dyk - For an Angel

Saw this video for the first time (I think) at end of 1997, just after my first Loveparade. It just brought back all those feelings from partying with 1 million other people. The track itself could only made by God himself.

2- Guns 'n Roses - November Rain

This is not a videoclip, it's a 10 minute movie! So well directed, great camerawork, classic song. Wonderful!

3- Da Luniz - I got 5 on it

The ultimate rap song to play in your car or when stoned. The pics of those dudes in the car full of smoke have been stolen in so many movies :) Great song, funny video!

My top-3 '90 videoclips

Chem Bros. - Hey Boy, Hey girl (I love those skeletons)
Underworld - Born Slippy (hehe, totally non-sense)
Fluke - Atom bomb (she's so cute, and I love races)

My favourite at the moment:
Ayumi Hamasaki - Endless Sorrow (it's so deep. If you get the meaning of the lyrics, it's so... perfect - totally fits the song)
Xavier
Underworld - Underneath the Radar

I remember seeing this video clip when I was 3 years old...it sorta scared me with that car going around.
k.k.d.
80s:

hm.. wasn't watching much music vids back then... I guess Michael Jackson's Thriller would be the one tht marked these times the most. Also, I remember liking Madonna's La Isla Bonita or something like that (paradise landskape, Madonna was kinda sexy abck then?).... I Believe that Ultravox's Hymn had a nice vid too, but I might be confusing with something else... :)

90s:

from non-trance, it's hard to say... I would say artistically intersting to me was anything by Enigma, Deep Forest's Sweet Lulaby (hoho Picotto the melody-stealer!), Soundgarden's Blackhole Sun, possibly Nirvana's Heart Shapped Box, Pet Shop Boys - Go West, U2 - Hold me, thrill me, kiss me kill me, etc etc...

1990's
i love the beastie boys - sabotage video i use to watch it all the time because i recorded it once, but i lost the video :(
all other videos in the 90's were no match to the beastie boys masterpiece.
Ekstasis
I listned to Information Soceity all the friggen time in the 80s. The Videos for "Whats on Your Mind (Pure Energy)", and "Walking Away" were great. Cardboard instruments and bright neon colors.
