My ISP limits my traffics with 3gb download and 1gb upload...
Is there a way to hack the monitorization so that they couldn't count my traffic?
they identify my modem by it's serial number and i already thought stealing someones modem muhahaha:disbelief :disbelief |

You would probably have to break into your ISP's network to do this. You might be able to modify your account settings if you could do this. However, it would be a very challenging task and is very risky legality-wise because it's easy to get caught.
I don't recommend trying it.

well, first off, you might not have to do that. it would theoretically be possible to change the serial number sent by your modem. not sure how to do that, but i know people have hacked their modems and beaten the caps.
however, it is very illegal.
I suggest you tell them what you think, cancel your account, and tell them that you will not pay for their substandard services. |

Damn I hope this doesn't happen here! I noticed that many broadband users outside of US seem to either have UL/DL limited SPEEDS (like 20 kB/second, etc.) or UL/DL TRANSFER limitations (like 5 GB/month, etc.). WHY IS THIS? Will this eventually happen EVERYWHERE? If so, I think that broadband companies will begin to LOSE money because then, people WILL find a way to get around the limitations and capping. How can you get caught if you disabled the caps and transfer limitation? |

Yeah I'd heard rumors about that. Hadn't actually heard of anyone doing it before though.
I agree with your suggestion. Paying for a capped connection is like paying for a certain amount of electricity per month, and when you go over the limit, you lose power. |

Umm... Traffic/Bandwich on the inet costs quite a lot nowadays, and with increasing number of clients monthly, the big ISPs are forced to either put up the prices or start charging for bandwich... In theory it's all logical... :( |

Not true at all...
Bandwidth prices are at an all-time low... they've done nothing but go down since about early 2000. |

It sucks here in Philadelphia PA, USA: Cable's 45 to 55 USD/month and I don't kinow if there are limits.
ADSL's at least 40 USD and I don't THINK there's limits. |

uncapping the modem = 1 year jail,5 years no computer use, probation
hacking ISPs to break bandwith restrictions = Life sentence
i suggest downloading the 15 second porn clips rather than the hour long 1024*720 pornos |
