| i have some mp3s that i need to edit with either sound forge or cool edit pro. they play fine using any media player but when i try to load them into either editor to edit them, they do not recognize the files. i think maybe this has something to do with the header. when i load the file into cool edit i get a window asking how the app should interpret the data...and i really do not know what to choose. is there any program that can repair these mp3s? |

| When I have corrupted mp3s that still play properly, I use the winamp disk writer output plugin and convert them to a .wav file. Then I re-encode them to mp3 or do whatever I wanna do with them :D |
