Well as TOTY is happening, i thought of this idea. many, prolly 9/10 get fuming with the pc atleast once a month and normally its the same stuff that strikes u down.

My nominations are:

RealOne Player (aka Real Player) - You have no choice, no other proggie supports .ram files (internet streaming) so without it u cant stream. This program takes over the computer, making it play everything u have on it, its prolly tried to load word files in the past! and even when u remove all them, it likes to pop up in the corner "realone messsage center", pure class

Direct Connection Software: Both versions of this are the biggest pieces of ing ive ever seen, its stupid, its like theyve been designed by a 5 year old.

Theres my two, if enough complain (come on!!!!) we'll have heats and see what sucks :D

Microsoft Windows. :)

nah, some of the worst i have used include AtomixMP3 and some horrible winamp plugins, a content management program called LivePublish...
Dumonde Trancer
i concur, real(virus)player is the foulest program to bless the cyber universe.

I'd have to say counter-strike.

I've never seen that game work properly on anyone's computer. Im not really talking about the in game stuff, but the menus. They always get distorted and random words pop up, and black boxes appear ontop of everything so you cant see. AShhas

JohnSmith, AtomixMP3 is a good program, i dont know what you're talking about! I just made an insane mix on it.

too each his own i guess, i know some people like it, i couldn't stand it though. I prefer VTT. actually, i prefer my decks, but wer are talking software.

i agree, Real Player SUCKS, i have an old version which at least lets me preview tracks on record sites. I've heard Winamp 3 sucks, but i was smart enough not to install it after seeing that it was now owned by AOL, i knew it would be a piece of .

another ty music app, MusicMatch, god i hate that thing.

yeah realone is horrible, but i like Direct connect, its nice n simple.

my pick: microsoft windows 95. I used to bash MS, but i must give them credit for making better software each time a release comes out.

Guys, RealOne Player only takes over the media types that you specify - if you're too lazy to read the prompts upon installation then that is not the programmers fault.

So far it's the only player out there that can be embedded in a webpage and can interact both ways with a java applet via javascript - and stream MP3 streams as well. (aka unknowntracks.com)

True...it's one of those pieces of software that take full advantage that most people just click-click-click blindly through the installation of their product...
