I'm not sure about the little kick rolls sprinkled here and there--you've got this sexy, funky, sweaty vibe going on (and loving the retro 80's huge snare hits) and then there's this sort of brrrrrp and the groove disappears for a moment. Only noticed because I was listening while cleaning and dancing, kept surprising my feet but not in a fun way.

The structure of the drop around 2:40 is top notch. Excellent use of the drop into silence thing, while making it sound fresh and new. A+

this is nice kinda chillout track, i would be inclined to smooth off the vocal a bit more but that would be personal choice

some more development, bit deeper grooves, again live, but trying out the grooves for laying out the tracks. pretty happy with the groove now, loads of subtile details, just need to work on the flow.

to me it sounds like what it is...a jam so thats fine. im thinking that a lot of the sounds are a bit too wet - maybe keep some elements dry or really short room reverb to have more contrast?

hi there

please follow the thread rules by firstly posting some feedback on the previous track (or tracks) posted before yours.

love everything about your track except that snare, its too brash for the track, bit of EQ might help, my 2c

Thank you. Will follow the rules from now on(returning after a long time) !!

I've tried to even out the vocals and remove most of those machine gun kicks, also made lots of other changes, harmony's (some of u will not like these) etc, I think I'm done.

Feedback as ever has been invaluable. Makes me realise how confident some producers are that do not require this process.

I liked the previos version also, but this is even better. Vocal sounds more natural, and removing the gun kicks is a good idea.

Your track is really nice man, something I would listen to in the car or at home. Technically it sounds good and even on my setup, cheers.

oh wow, yes. killing those kicks and smoothing out the vocals has really made this something deep and sleazy and funky. A++++++++

Also, I'm sure everyone has people listen to their tracks, they just don't do it so publicly.

thats very funky! i have a few tunes on wax like that! the mix sounds ok but the lead and bass sound a bit flat to me but maybe thats what you was looking for! every thing else sounds cool though.

it seems i didnt notice the new version mate LOL the base sounds good in the newest post!

its still mostly structure no fx etc in it but is that better than the first?

small change in the hats that better now?

Very atmospheric and groovy track. Loving this!

Your mixes are really thight and they work. I would however go trough the open-hat sample. Sounds like its sticking out too much.

You got a really nice funky groove here, vocals are good, and the mix sound fine too, I would prefer more centered cymbal though.

Posted by deegee on Jan-23-2015 20:31:

For me it's the 5th bar of the stabs that doesn't work; it feels very weird to carry the same note through after the progression of the first four bars.

Posted by Mise on Jan-23-2015 20:33:

Thanks for the insight guys. I was looking for a techy and psy vibe at the same time, I see what you point evo and deegee.
