Originally posted by Mr.Mystery He was great... for all of the 5 minutes he was actually in it. That's the most annoying part - he's played a massive role in the trailers and other marketing, but his actual role was almost like a cameo. He was only really there for Harley Quinn's backstory. |
Yeah. Apparently Leto wasn't exactly thrilled either when he saw the final cut.
That's a real shame. I was a bit sceptical when I heard that the Joker character would be happening again. I figured it would be pretty hard to top Heath's Joker, but Leto is a great actor, and very quirky, so I had some hope there. More hope than for the rest of the cast, lol.
Will report back when I see it. Hopefully this week.
Typical Leto ... If I'm not the queen prima Donna no one can or will be...hissy fit.
Anyone bothered by this new trend, tv shows based on movies? Maybe it was inevitable in a world of sequels, prequels, reboots, and reboots with all female leads. What's next, reality tv, based on sitcoms based on movies, based on books that were loosely based on dramatized fictionalized historic events?
Just watched A Face in The Crowd starring Andy Griffith. The parallels to the modern day election and to Donald Trump are eerily similar. Minus the inherited wealth factor. I highly recommend it. It was Directed by Elia Kazan, who directed On the Waterfront.
I watched Elser (2015) (a.k.a.13 minuten)
It tells the story of Georg Elser, a German worker who planned and carried out an elaborate assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler in Munich. I think it's an interresting WWII movie showing how 13 minuten probably would have changed history.
The Invitation
A genuinely disturbing and unsettling film without aliens, monsters or other supernatural beings.

My favourite bondage movie is the mommy followed closely by the mommy returns
Watched Blood Father, Mel did well.
Speaking of Leto, I was watching half of another movie he did years back, which I had never heard of before. Mr. Nobody. I might end up finishing it this Tues. Plot is a pretty interesting idea so far, but we'll see if it's actually worth the nearly 3 hours of screen time (Hence why I didn't finish it).

Thanks man. Twas a busy one, could have def used more downtime, but a good day nonetheless. Here's the trailer for that movie that I was talking about. Still didn't have time to see the rest yet.
I wanna see fantastic beasts and where you cold find them. yeah corny i know.
I've seen two films at the cinema in the last week or so, both starring Amy Adams. Nocturnal Animals was fantastic, albeit I could understand why people would be turned off by its tone.
The Arrival, on the other hand was absolute tosh. Baffled by the critical adoration it's apparently receiving.
Anyone see Dr Strange yet? I like Cumberbatch and the trailers look interesting though those can be deceiving.

So uh, whats the story behind the new star wars movie, i would like a core version instead of just googling.
Is that woman in the cover some jedi or outcast?
member storm troopers? i member
3% is, by far, the most Brazilian thing I've ever seen.
Not sure foreign audiences will enjoy it as much as we do, but if you crank Brazilian society up to eleven and set it in the future, that's EXACTLY what you get. The hyper-rationalisation, the will to organise everything just to mess it up right afterwards, the social inequality, a cast so diverse you'd mistake it for a Benetton advert... it's all there.
Granted, it's full of flaws, but that's Brazilian too
Turned a friend on to "Predestination" this last week. He loved it. I watched it again so we could discuss it. I'd forgotten just how much I enjoyed it.
