That's very nice and trippy... Pitch change was a bit unusual to my ears at first

Well mixed track with good dynamics and sound balance also interesting melodic concept and arrangement

I wish that this could have some vocal (at least some parts) so could spread over the network much faster (if you know what I mean) lol

Nice release man !!!

Kinda growing on me, I get some of the same problems you have with bass, its probably in the 120hz area mud but sometimes ur better off choosing a new bass because when you start eqing it you lose some of the part which made you choose it in the first place.

Thanks. Yes, i was messing with eq on bass, but i'm not happy with results. Maybe finding another...

Hey, i have listened some of your stuff on soundcloud. That is pretty amazing shit you do!

Thanks :} Here is a tiny wip from me, you see I have some bass issue from around same area here as well; Maybe I can fix it.

Quite like this Mac, this is your style man where everything is slowly progressing/developing but the rest of the track and how you will drive it will determinate the faith of it

Me like it.

Like your overall concept my friend but you will have to pay a bit more attention to your high/mid freq level as this (at least for now) is a bit on bright site and creates this unwanted effect of fatigue.

Just my $0.02

Thanks Darek. Your'e right, i have overdo mid and highs on other instruments trying to compensate that muddy bass... It is overall to bright now, but i didn't realize this creates effect of fatique until you point that out Thanks again.

I like it so far, as Darek said it all depends on where you'll take it, it is pretty short preview.

Helloall,

New user - discovered this forum this weekend and glad I finally got some time to join!

The track is below:

https://clyp.it/agaj0h2a

I'm very new to production and got started on this idea. I want it to be in the genre of uplifting trance. Can anyone please give me some feedback? Is the beginning good? As a listener, are you expecting something else?

I have not done any EQ yet.

Please let me know. Criticism and feedback are very important. The key is in G Major.

Thanks!

Getting close to finished, any thoughts on this as I am deffo sending this one out?

EDIT> Ive improved it since posting this up earlier.

I quite like the idea of this track, its good. Can't add anything to what others have said.
You've got your workflow nailed like Rich, wish I could throw ideas and tracks out as rapid as you, and it's not like they all sound the same either, very diverse.

instead, if i want to automate volume, i put a Utility on the track and automate the gain on it instead. Surely Cubase has something similar?

Yes for sure.. Sometimes I even just use the output gain on what ever plug is last in your chain.

I'm terrible for over doing things.. Just try cutting a little with eq, but yeah something sounds like it is resonating down in that area

Welcome to the boards man...
I would say that after listening to this track that you have the right ideas. I would say try spending a little time on your transitions. Add some atmospheric elements into those transitions (sweeps, etc)
Work on that kick and yea..EQ will really help. Try and bridge the gap of your higher frequency tones and lower frequencies.
As for your composition, it seems there are parts that are a little forced. Maybe the transition work will lend a better melding of the track

been putting some work into this one, i think it has a clear shot of doing some damage , once i polish it up . any advice/feedback would be great.

Good track

first thing - automate the verb on the leed so it goes dry and wet, don't leave it static#

still listening..........

Ok you will get this signed for sure, its a monster

again just move that verb around when the main lead drops so it's not so static and wet always, otherwise ready and full phat track

Posted by Richard Butler on Jul-25-2015 23:07:

So here is my first track featuring Serum synth (as discussed in the thread about Massive). Really a joyous synth to work with.

Here it is on main mid bass duty and some of the plucky sounds.

Anyway, how is the mixing. I've done no mastering for once, as I want to see how mixing is first.

Vocals will be added.

Richard...dood, this has a ton of potential man.
The mix to me sounds low, pre production?
Sub sounds great. That Reese could use some accentuating.
Really dig the plucks.
not to sure about that high freq fill at 1:28.
This is a must complete imho

I took out that nasty lead you mentioned and made the reese a little louder, and have now got the whole track done but yet to add proper vocals and do any mastering.

Note I accidentally left in some stray test vocals by accident

Cheers bud

Posted by SystematicX1 on Jul-27-2015 00:38:

Hmmm...the lead I don't believe was the issue and personally thought it was a nice added dimension ALONG with the reese.
The reese now has some clarity but think that nastiness was key.
As well, noticing a good amount of ducking on that sidechain, intentional?

Love this idea man, really catchy stuff but mixing/mastering will have hell of the time to properly get all of those levels and dynamics done - I'm not sure what and how everything supposed to seat but right now sounded a bit uneven, out of balance - at least to me Richard. When you get this under control this could be massive

Cheers,

Darek

Thank you so much for the reply. I've been busy this whole week with work but wanted to let you know your feedback didn't go unnoticed. I'm going to start working on the song again this week so I will try to implement your feedback and post again!

Just would like to know what do you guys think?

I have no specific questions but want to hear your comments

Cheers,

Darek
