Nothing really seriously wrong with this mix Mac and overall idea + execution is well done - another one with great potential

Mixing aside, I would personally try to bring out that background pad a bit sooner and more present in the breakdown section, feels like it loses just a bit of momentum there initially after the beats stop before you bring in those sweepish sounding things.

------------------

Here is a new one I am working on, feedback on the mixing and arrangement would be great as this is the first project I have mixed on my new Monitors. I plan on doing some micro editing stuff with the percussion so its not final yet:

Not using monitors but this sounds so clean, love that kickdrum.

I like the liquid vibe, maybe I would add a bit more "edge" to the bass or do so later in the track. I think its just a little tame even with the nature of the song.

Like the idea of the song sounds good and the melody is really catchy.
if that was my song i'd work on the beggining of the song a bit, make the first 40 secs of the song more interesting.
it doesn't have to be much you could try to automate the cutoff on the piano HP/LP for example

OK, this thread is too quiet lol, lets spice it up a bit lol:

Latest short idea for EDM (and I know that not many people over here like this particular style )

Track with no name but with a lot happy and groovy rhythm

Cheers,

Darek

What synths(s) are you using for the 8th notes? Is it a layer?

Darek I like this style of music, not too much to go on yet but sounding pleasant.

MSZ - cant seem to play your track, says it's private.

Here's a free download if anyone wants it;

Yeah, it's really not my kind of style at all, but it's a solid production. It really begs some sort of vocals.

I quite like this track Richard, nice dynamics and drive. I would check some statics noise along this whole track, right from the beginning and also around 2:26 ~ 2:29 where you can hear it the best.

I always extensively use (and some time overuse) Sylenth1 and yes I have two slightly different characteristic but similar sounding patches.

Thanks Toby I know that this is totally not your cup of tea lol but appreciate your comment and time man anyway . As far as "Solid Production" -> I'm having much better handle on mixing and pre-mastering and also learn hard way the importance of kick/drums and bass line/s coexistence lol, thank you.

It is really important to have vocal in your track as this my sound completely different after lol - right now sounds really static and under-develop but this is due to lack of vocal parts/fillers etc.

Base is there and what you going to do with it will determinate the faith of the production.

Also it is very low on volume and for that reason doesn't feel like have any dynamics and drive lol.

I will put up a much louder version in a minute and I made the synths a bit better.
Will add fx and fillers once vocals are in

When you say it depends on where I take the bass, what do you mean, can you give me some advice.

LOl, Base as basic idea of the track not bass - that should clarify this a bit lol

Cheers Richard.

This is different - really like it, nice roomy sound to it. Production sounds ok to me??

Not sure on that drop, could be worth trying something different. You could fill in some of the breakdown with maybe sending some tracks to a big hall reverb? seeing as theres not much of that in the track it could be a nice contrast?

Also, id probably look at something new after the break, some little motif or something just to drive the track home - worth finishing this one off imo!

Posted by TranceLover007 on Aug-27-2015 06:40:

OK, a little clip from upcoming release lol - this is a collab with my friend Carlos and of course Amy Jane on vocal.

Cheers,

Darek

This is something I whipped up the other day. Not really sure if it's worth pursuing.

C heers for the thoughts evo, much appreciated.

The plan is to get some female vocals into it and then deal with the break / risers / transitions.
