Richard send me your wav. file and I will try to create two different melodic elements - if this is OK with you?

This is what makes A&B very attractive, the way they connect to/with people.

A NEW APPROACH FROM ME;

Project Mankraft (pretentious prick that I am)

not a fan of the progression really - i like the sounds, the vocal is nice, it has potential but i would look at a different progression. that breakdown is very long also

yep, nothing wrong with that.

your mixing is really good but i feel maybe you are placing a little too much emphasis on the technical side of things, you may disagree?

Posted by Evolve140 on Nov-01-2015 17:20:

not necessarily. it might be so. I just finished this yesterday and got some similiar feedback. maybe a bit *too* clean. i guess going for mixdown so hard i now have a little room to dirty things up a bit?

I really like your evolution as an artist. A lot of potential in your works. I'd have some suggestions for you tho..

lay'em on me & thanks man <3

by saying "dirty things up" thats kinda concentrating on the technical side again?

that track there, i just think the bassline isnt interesting enough or something

Posted by Evolve140 on Nov-01-2015 17:57:

no I mean I might need to ease up on the too technical / too clean kind of thing. i dont purposely do it, im sure i can pull back on being overly technical

i think it happens to most people that produce (me anyway) - cos the mix has to be correct to convey your idea

but then sometimes the idea gets lost along the way

being doing a lot of techno recently but this one is a bit lighter

Hey all, been working on this mix this for a week now... and still sounds like pretty flat and 'lifeless' (Mind you I slapped a limiter on the master for loudness.) feedback or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Like this one, love the old school proggy vibes in your productions. I feel like though that one of the elements needs to stick out if you want to move this track along. I would automate the filter on the arp that's in the background and bring it out more as the track progresses...

P.S the track you posted before this is friggin' amazing! The sound is a bit dated but fuck cares, its good music lol

You already pointed out the problem in this track how come you didnt fix it? its missing momentum via structure or elements because it sounds too dry. Other than that its quite nice though especially the later half, btw im living in sauga atm too :}

just listening on the laptop but i love the simplicity, very nice

edit: it does get a bit samey tho, you might need to being some other elements in or something to retain attention

I can imagine this in a club, Id say just make some of the individual sounds a bit more crafted, some are a little GM sounding

Fucking very imaginite, it sort of oozes flavour and laxness

Maybe I want a little more attack on the kick, not using a clap of hat tho.

This is my Colors 3 submission, but I wanted to get feedback so posted it here. What don't you like so far;

I know what you mean but usually I add a bunch of stuff and then realize it just ends up sounding worse, so take it out again... It's a hard balance to find.

honestly Richard the mix needs a bit of work imo - it has potential tho ill say that. Think you would need a better bassline also
