If it's EDM you're going for, it's not nearly annoying enough.

I like it, kinda simple in a good way, and who needs complexity anyway.

K, back with this one, having some feelings that the mix is too flat/cheap sounding though, sounds ok on some speakers I have here but I doubt it will translate. The bass transient is probably too weak. There are no fx so it might sound naked, and the 3minute breakdown...

sounding good, ill give it a proper listen tonight, bass sounds fine to me, nothing everything needs a transient, plenty of transients in the drums, contrast is gooooood
breakdown sounds good, personally would be inclined to fade in the higher frequency sound but thats just preference, id lose the clap as well...

the main thing you have is the feel, which is really good, its just about getting everything to fit now

Thanks for the feedback evo, I was thinking maybe the kick low end might be too much, i'll move on to finalizing this, not sure I can tweak my mix any more on my end. I can always send it out for stemming if it bothers me that much.

low low end is really wide, do you have a centering plugin or M/S EQ, you dont need that much sub wide IMHO

try and centre something as well, if everything is wide then nothing is really wide - maybe that aggressive stab? low pass a little and try it in the centre mono?? might work

thats a fearsome low end brother, was gonna say cut a little when on headphones, but the mains are saying naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah leave it

yeah i like this, kind of a grower

I have to get rid of that kick its reflexing like some sort of hard techno track; the more I listen, the more its wierding me out.

I wouldn't have this problem if I had bigger drivers.

needs a few tweaks but thats for tomorrow

That sounds very good and everything is tight, personally I'd like some more low end saturation/extension from your bass or even something separate low end related through into the mix, there is a gap in my mind wanting to be filled. Started listening to some old balances for reference. I've always been a bass head.

So I REALLY need your thoughts.

I've been working on this political track for a while, now what I need to know HOSTELY is if the drop is just too happy and not dark and 'roaring' enough compared to the intro

The break is bare - will deal with it later

I've never needed advice as badly as on this one

interesting track, love the vocal style, think the vocal could do with some reverb or delay though

I wouldnt describe this as dark in any way, its more uplifting imo

I keep thinking to ditch the drop synths and put something more like 'I cant get no sleep' type synth line in there?

It's going to be filled with all kinds of tidbits later, but how's that basis working out?

I'd have to hear it more in context to see if its working out, I have an inclination the sub is not working but I could be wrong. You can try a sine layer to push more energy.

Yeah, def needs a third layer. I accidentally had my low end turned way up on the mixer.

Compared to others of yours it just does not really do much for me I'm afraid mate, but don't less this put you off, it may just be me and my taste, if you like it then finish it. The drums / bass seem a bit brittle to me though.

the synth that comes in is taking up a lot of room in the track, i would go with some different
