I COULD have given u a TL because they are my OBSESSION! BUT I arrived at 3:00pm and there set ended at 3:00pm. Which is really fucked up because they should have had them later in the night because they are a HUGE act much bigger than Liquid Todd or whatever his name is who played before Oakenfold.

Posted by unknown84 on Mar-28-2005 03:07:

well, that was my first time seeing them, ive heard a FEW of their tracks before....ive been downloading some stuff and figured out that they played

IM the supervisor
Cities of the Future

but thats the only ones i remember

i laugh hard at this comment... HARD

Wtf, when did Liquid Todd play? I was right there in the front row and distinctly remember Ferry playing well past 6 oclock. He ended and then oakey came on, at which point I left. No time in between for Todd...

There has been an "unknown" remix of Tiesto - Ur being played and I am ALMOST positive it is a Junkie XL Remix mainly because Junkie XL played it during his set and his set was 90% composed of his originals and remixes, so I can only guess that he was behind this remix, and it has his guitars in it too so I'd say it's the best bet

It has already been confirmed as a JXL remix

So it's The Thrillseekers Mix? so that's a different mix than the one on the Right Of Way album ?

that set looks fun! Better then a lot of recent stuff...

Um, compared to Oakey's set's @ Ultra 5 & Ultra 6 he TOTALLY ROCKED this year so I really don't see the problem because this is definetly a step up.

Yeah, If we compared to 5 and 6, he really spinned good this years UMF. By the way, I never thought that he is gonna start his set something like Traffic.

ULTRA 5 was better than this year's IMO. Just listened to it this morning. However, I think Oakey did a pretty good job this year. MY only turnoff, and it's pretty big.............WHY ON GOD'S EARTH DID YOU DROP TIESTO-TRAFFIC!?! Please stop canning that track Oakey! Tiesto was dropping it back in 2003! I understand dropping PPK-Resurrection in your set, but not Traffic!

Posted by dartrance on Mar-29-2005 04:26:

haha no offense but what year are we in?

2002 or 2005 ? Come on Oakenfold

then again tiesto and pvd are not better playing a lot of the same shit they did last year. I guess it makes sense to play your hits though no matter how old

When PvD dropped "Nothing But You" followed by (and closing with) "Time Of Our Lives" it was the PERFECT 2 choices to end his set simply because those tracks are PvD classics and more importantly because "Time Of Our Lives" is lyrically the best track to end ANY set because it truly signifies the experience you just went thru.

Overall DJing is NOT about playing the newest tracks it's about putting together the RIGHT tracks, new or old, to create a memorable experience for everyone involved. If you want the newest tracks go listen to ASOT or something

Incorrect, it was his original version that also appeared on Reflections. The PVD Club mix, while similar, has a watered down bassline among a few other differences that make it not as good (my 0.02)

True, its about playing the right tracks at the right time. But alot of it boils down to personal opinion. IMO I think his set at Space was much better.

You just brought up something else to mind. Space (which is a club) is an INDOOR event and Ultra is an OUTDOOR event, DJ's tend to spin different songs for different venues. Tiesto's club events are much different from his Outdoor events I have noticed and this goes with a lot of DJ's.

Yeah, don't get me wrong I enjoyed both alot. I gues it was the fact I had a good listening spot in Club Space and he ended up playing over twice as long.

He played a new remix of Ridgewalkers - Find which I am guessing is his remix. The bassline sounded alot like one of his, and there were too many changes for it to be a simple rework/re-edit. ANyhow that was one of the tracks I dug.
