Because of the trolling extraordinaire earlier I didn't have any high expectations but this is well done. Reminds me of some classic oldies in the good old Tiesto - Nyana days but with a more current sound to it. Really don't have anything to say other than to keep this up . Good stuff!

This is great club music, deceptively simple, well executed, and what I call a chugger, nice to nodd along too. I admire your confidence by not feeling the need to make this too complex or melodic.

It minds me of something you would hear on an Italian fashion cat walk with loads of strobe lights firing (having this image would personally help me feel where the track could go).

The bassline I think needs a sound tweak just to make it a little more distinctive and unusual perhaps.

Tell you what, I can really imagine the kick altering quite drastically at some point - not soemthing I would usually suggest but I can really imagine it here and to be introduced by a massive white noise splash when it first hits. Like a long middy kick drum. Maybe I'm talkin shcit.

The intro part with piano and vocals is very good, but I'll be honest the rest didn't grab me. For example the sylenthy pluks were too familiar and from there it never really got going.

Thanks man! Yeah, I was kinda feeling the laidback sorta house groove last weekend, so churned out a few tracks like this.
And just for the record, I did make a vocal edit, cus I found these
great vox shots. Really black and really house. Cant remember the first phrase, but it's like looping from the start, 1 bar, starting with LP filter full cutoff, then slowly letting freqs through until the 2-3 min climax where it changes to "house is my saviour".

edith wait yeah, first phrase is "i believe", filling the 2 first beats of the bar.

Not directed at me, but as OP I still feel it's not out of bounds to say thanks, glad to see someone sees it my way :P And I'm also glad to see this getting off to a good start. A couple more tracks posted and maybe we'll see about allowing Ryan back in :P

Here's something I did today, a little different, but it's def. still work in progress. First track that I've recorded like this, and also the first 100% made in Live. Lolpad edition :P Anyways yeah, the intro is kinda whack, I'd been trying to keep the track under 10 mins, and well, the intro is not the best one Ive performed, but all the other tries ending in complete failure, so I guess this will have to do haha :P

A WIP about 60% done. Really not sure my singing is up to it this time round;

i am going to post some feedback on the clips i've listened, this may be a good thread please don't troll.

invalyd - NCD: This is actually very good Only remarcable things i'd mention is that i don't like very much the synth stabs around 1:15 i'd quit them or make them more complex, but feel a bit unnecessary, with some extra release and an automation delay would be better.

2.- Kick may need a little bit emphasis on the low end, sounds a bit muddy with the bassline.

Good job never the less not big issues.

Alffi - Uncourttrajet.. : I like the clap you are using here, has a nice progression, hats need more volume and i'd add some shakers around 2:05 instead of another hi hat line to give the track more drive. Feels a bit repetitive but very subtle. Needs a vocal hook or something to be really effective but has potential. About the kick i am not sure what to think it sounds a bit odd at ~3:00 but throughout the track i like how it interacts with the bassline. I'd try with something more conventional though.

Storyteller - Nieuwe tellertrack I like how it sounds, one of your best works i've listened. It needs a melody on top as you point and could be something very similar to Chris Reece or Edx's old stuff which is great.

Bluff Monkey - Sum Howse. This is very very well produced and mixed no things to mention from the technical point of view. Congratulations.

Richard Butler track: I like it, really good one vocals are fine show some extra self confidence, the reverb is very well executed. I won't judge the mix down since youtube is crap but apparently vocals are maybe too loud, shakers need more presence and kick is not punchy enough. You have some eye for drum n bass i'd gently buy an EP of this track and your previous and play it.

E Harris vs Stanley Steel - Greedy (Club MIX) Well this reminds me a lot to the trance stuff i usually make, has a very nice classic feeling. However i see some issues:

-Section that has no bassline that starts around 5:30, this needs some filtering or effects that make it attractive, right now it looks like the last beats of the song.

-I believe kick has a too long tail i like how it is layered with the bassline but kicks with shorter tails tend to sound better in clubs. If you've added reverb on the master or in the kick cut it this will help.

-To be a club mix is a bit stale, is not really danceable. Build up is not really a build up doesn't create any expectations of a sick drop.

I'd add at 3:14 the bassline with the plucks and at 3:41 highpass filter it and start growing it from the lows with a 303 acid line (check Angry Man - Tyrant (Angry Acid Mix)) this might give you some extra ideas, check the drop)

- The drop needs percussion, shakers or something to create some drive, this might server as a chilled down progressive trance track but most probably it would clear the dancefloor.

BTW that Angry Man - Tyrant (Angry Acid Mix) Track is kick ass!

yeah i gotta say i agree with rodri here. i mean the groove that kinda gets going towards the end is cool, but at least an octave lower, and i'd definitely think about bringing in some organic percussion into the mix. and yeah, the kick is pretty horrible, sounds pretty SID'y. And there's a reason why you never hear them outside of chiptunes, they just don't have that solid sound you need in a proper track. And that especially goes for the kick. You could maybe beef it up with some eq, but what's the point when you could get a different one that just works out of the box? My 2 cents..

And as I'm 5:2 on the give/take scale, and as I'm really keen on some feedback, I'm gonna repost this as it seems to have been overlooked the first time around.

Rod and Itsame - Yea, that was a bad choice of a kick. It sounded ok at first, but over time, I realized it wasn't good for the track.

I've made some modifications to the track, with one of them being that in this bounce, I took out the buss compression (on all the percussive elements and the bass) and the master channel treatments (which I should've done at the end instead of doing them before finishing mixing).

I didn't change much else though, but I'll consider the other things you talked about.

itsamemario: Nice dark vibe, the kick and sub are working very well together, all the sounds are gelling fine, maybe the clap a bit too upfront. The track is simple but effective it flows very well and the use of effects for the transitions are ok, something that is hard to achieve in a live recording.

djshire: much better this time the kick is less boxy.

Hello mise, always look forward to checking you shit, but no, this one mate I'm not feeling in any way at all, sorry bud.

I really like the low end. Overall the soundscape is really nice.



I like the kick and the reverb and delay work is really cool.



Very underground, dark, retro techno. Still needs more elements I think, but it is something different and could be built on.



I think this one needs more elements and a lead to make it more exciting but the bassline seems good so far.

I always feel like my leads are my weakest point. I usually like the stuff going on in the background of songs I make and like the idea of the lead, but have a difficult time balancing it and making it sound right. Any feedback on the lead or the overall track is appreciated.

This one climaxes in several places abruptly, so don't have the volume up too loud despite some relatively serene parts.
