This is probably best i can do... also, i don't want to listen this track for some time . Need for an ear flushing.
Tried to separate sounds, but don't know with how much success. Bass string is pretty wide, it's sidechained on kick but still... if i cut his envelope then there is not enough power. I've raise mid on hook part, but it's still loose some volume when everything hit at once.

Originally posted by SystematicX1 Like this, quality has for sure improved. That kick though, about knocked me out of my chair..lol but overall production has much improved Gordan Speaking of which, I took your advice and changed the piano on this. |

Originally posted by chris marsh really nice ideas in here, especially from around the 2 minute mark onwards. I feel the mix isn't right, there is a lack of low end punch and clarity with the sub being nearly inaudible in places and to me the kick and snare dont sound right as they are. If it were me i might change them completely. Also chuck a pro tune of a similar style in your arrange page and reference with regards to mixing. to my ears sort out the drums, sub and polish the mix and your on to a winner All IMO as ever..... |

Originally posted by SystematicX1 Thanks Chris for the valuable insight! With that said I decided to experiment with a new kick and snare tone and checked on the bass. Damn if my cans aren't giving away to the dead. I haven't done the ultimate test in the truck yet but think this did a little more improvement. Appreciate the advice. |
I have another wip, but it's not a track.

It's a casual, simple game, 3d arkanoid clone that i'll release in a month or two on Steam. I would like to have a nice soundtrack on this, so if you have some nice unreleased tracks that you think it would fit on this and would like some promotion - please send it on pm. I think that soundtrack can be sold separately on games, so anything is possible.
I will probably need to change some ingame sounds, and make them mono, because now they clash a lot with songs being played at the same time. I have used a deep kick as a sound when ball hits something
Prev mix was really bad when i listened on cans This one is a bit better. Is this going anywhere?

Thanks for comments guys. No, Systematic, kick wasn't mono or at least i didn't switch to mono by purpose . Yeah it's pretty messy mix, thanks for you ears guys. I've lower main lead volume, but maybe needed more.
Some "bassline" if now after 2:00 but don't know if that took me too melodic :/
Yeah, the lead is still too loud. And there's this thing that starts around 1:30 that sound really weird and off, but I don't know if that's a synth or just a reverb/delay of it.
I would also seek a deeper, rounder kick for this. The current one sounds a bit too nineties eurodance-y for my tastes.
I think I posted a clip of this earlier, but I'm not going to work on it any more, so here - a free track:
