Was trying to rework that one. Not sure if it's well connected. Or make any sense.

yeah i should have posted a bit longer sample, i need to adjust the levels from scratch, my ears were done at that stage, will try and tweak it later

Posted by gordan100 on Apr-12-2018 18:24:

This is just an idea. Does synths sound too sharp on your ears?
I am deaf now.

edit
Sounds shitty on speakers thanks to drumloop, need something better, but i like the melody at least.

i like the drums but the synth just feels a bit random :-/

Posted by gordan100 on Apr-12-2018 20:42:

Yeah, maybe, i was listening that too long. Probably it will turn to something random tomorrow.

Any good?

For downtempo or chillout style I would add some smooth going (60/70 style) organs to blend harmonically your melody - also I would imagine slightly different drums would work much better with previously mention style - so far I like your idea, you are on the right track

Cheers,

Darek

Here is one track I'm going to release soon so I will post only a bit old version (like few days old lol) and you can hear drums and synth I was talking about - enjoy

Added: All guitar parts is my playing

Cheers,

Darek

Overall this sounds good to me. It is pretty simple, but a nice song. The only thing that stands out to me is the snare. Doesn't quite fit to me.

Hey Jesse, this is so good. I don't really have much feedback. All of the details are really cool.

Also, here is a version I created that I might open a set with sometime, it wouldn't be officially released, but is a "white label" if you will:

I like it overall. Main chords are nice and sounds good. Would cut out 1:37 - 2:22 (it does not bring anything to the song imo) and go for different transition, with just main chords. Would cut out 3:53-4:23 too, does not need to go that wild imo . Good work

Welp Caleb...really dig this. Has a very Prydz like feel.
And me personally,I actually dig the transition, which btw that Arp is probably my favorite part.
I would say that I found the vox to be more apparent in repetition. To me in seemed like it could be left more underneath the mix as a blend or added atmosphere.
I am wondering how it would develop if more tones used some filter automation. Hearing a lot of dope tones and would love to hear the cutoff. Might even add to blending and atmosphere.
Overall this is a great sounding track man. Very well done on the production.

Goodly sound engineering here, very atmospheric track too.

Relaxing vibe and decent groove and sound, I am very interested in this type of kick n bass just, feels retro but very current too.

So I still cant embed SC now and cannot seem to get them to talk to me about it.

All I can do for now is post a link to this new track. I'm finishing things now ready for a new name, image and everything.
Kinda after a summer chilled vibe here, nice to be back btw!

Hey, nice to see you back. Sounds very nice and rich. Melody, bass, kick, hihats, sweeps all very pleasant to listen. At 2:34 you start to heat up but then suddenly (for me) it goes to break, also not sure if that pitch changing transition at 2:50 fits. Nice stuff, Rich.

Posted by TranceLover007 on Apr-30-2018 18:55:

Pretty cool blend of House and smooth-jazz style man, progression works nicely but your break may need to be adjust slightly as (for me only man) disconnect from the melodic core of your track too much - overall love the track and deliverable quality of it

Cheers,

Darek

the production is really nice and i loved that intro, really got my anticipation going, bringing the kick in like that is classic Prydz

then i thought the track progression was a bit over complicated and could really get into it, i do think there's a banger in there somewhere but just my opinion!

Posted by evo8 on Apr-30-2018 22:33:

@gordan...here is the remix i was working on, just posting here anyway even though I kinda left it for a while and went back to it, at least it got me back making tracks again

I really like the chord progression and melodies. I think the hi/mid high elements of the drum loop, like the hihats, shakers and other mid-high percussion instruments are a bit too loud. Also, I think the level of the main lead melody level is too low. Overall, this is such a beachy, jumpy prog track.
