Originally posted by SystematicX1 So, this cut is part 8 of a fourth variant attempt ::rolls eyes:: at a track that was initially started three years ago. For some reason I can't seem to ditch it and always come back because I think it has potential. Now, it seems at the very least I am gaining some gel with this. As it stands, this is really just a bed. Still need some top end melody |

Originally posted by TranceLover007 Phil, I can here why you always coming back to this Techno track man, has something catchy in it, but I can put my fingers on it yet, so I would suggest to work on your EQ first to get your dynamics in place - it makes huge difference (at least for me) if I work on some new material and doesn't move me at all then goes to bin lol. Drums+bass then start to adding additional elements to it, but punch/dynamics needs to be there man - just my $ 0.02 Cheers, Darek |
Just a quick pick on my latest WIP - still few things need to happens (drums variations, vocal evolution, ....) but you should be able to hear what I'm after lol - vocal House/Trance.
Cheers,
Darek
Really like this Darek, my only suggestion would be to try and separate the bass just a tiny bit from the pluck seems to overlap very slightly. Maybe a little mid/side eq on the pluck and hp the mid a little? Good work though and very easy to listen to!
something I've been working on.. Armin + Ferry + Ryan -- From the Heart..

Thanks for listening.. I'm still playing around with the arrangement.. That second synth that comes in on break 2 I want to really stand out.. and I'm having difficulty placing it.. and there's actually still a melody line that I have on a channel as well, but I don't have it playing on this "wip" because Im not sure I know where I want it either.. So for the most part this is just a very very rough draft.. I'm also working on a Robert Miles - Children Remix which is coming a long quite nicely.. I might drop that one off here another time.. I don't want to over-extend my welcome

Originally posted by Storyteller You had me as soon as the bass joins the plucks! Frequently feel the high-end is overly busy with little separation in your mixes. This time it is not the case. The vocal needs a bit more space every now and then. Especially when you open up the cutoff the vocal is drowned in all that is going on. Your losing me a bit after the chord change... It came rather unexpected. All in all a great start, looking forward to see how it progresses! |
It is very quiet over here for some time, so I decided to give some needed boost to this page lol and uploaded my latest WIP - let me know

@itsamemario and @cryophonik - thank you guys for listening and good word, always happy to know that someone appreciate your work lol.
Here is another idea for my latest Chillout track - I'm in the mode of laying down concepts for bunch of different tracks, which I'm going to finish later. Let me know how this sound?
I know that my latest Chillout WIP doesn't really connect with a lot of people over here but you could always appreciate some creativity, structure, melodic evolution and vibe in any production from another producer
- just kidding of course. Here is a bit different WIP with more moving style/genre - Progressive IFunk, give a run and let me know what you think
didn't have much to do last night so I was able to jump into the studio. Felt kind of guilty though because Laidback Luke was in town, and I was at home in Ableton. I remember a time, when being out at the club was home. But, I will say, I'm kinda pleased with the WIP so far. I called it Flying Arps.. as if the name doesn't say kinda what it entails.
the prophecy been foretold, dj ryan has returned and tranceaddict has officially died, just like the stories said.
Just another few hours yesterday with Ableton and this is what was develop - let me know how that works for you?
pretty dank, no criticism from me, feels good, production is nice.
was working on this mctrancer, has some volume problems especially in the break and the post, but mostly there, I can fix it but lazy.
Interesting sounds selection Mac and melody this works well in this WIP - from critique perspective, I would add more punch to your kick, since this is what drives your track.
Cheers mate,
Darek
gotcha thanks.
nvm its shit
Lol, early today I was going to comment on this new WIP but I left it for tonight, because I wont to run this production couple more times lol. As far as I remember, I was going to suggest the same thing as for previous track -> to get your kick more punchy.
Darek
haha thanks again, not sure why im neglecting the kick so much, maybe my 2 inch speakers have something to do with it.
maybe fixed the kick, maybe not.
still feel like the meat of the track is lacking.
damn double post.
