those are some shitty tracklists; especially given they were for WMC.

Posted by wushuboy on Mar-29-2005 11:11:

pvd also played a rework or re edit of jonesy - independence (stadium club mix)

Posted by mopa on Mar-29-2005 16:55:

hey guys, was anyone able to record any of these sets? I didn't get to go so I missed out, and normally PARTY 93.1 records some of these sets but the damn station changed to damn ROCK! and they stopped recorded music for the WMC event. It really sucks.

All I can find is the stuff on radio1. Thanks TA's!

Thumbs down

bottom line is that during Tiesto people were BOOING.. a whole fuckin ton of them.. Ive never heard that before in my life. The whole section I was in was screaming for him to pick it up. What a fuckin huge dissapointment. I am done with Tiesto at this point, he let so many people down with that walk through set, he should be ashamed.

PVDs set was much better but it seemed he had to rebuild a whole new vibe because tiesto left us absolutely NOWHERE.. so that took a while and by the time PVD had kicked it in it was time for his closing songs. PVD proved to me this year that he is the man, not tiesto.

5 years of ULTRA in a row for me and this was by far THE MOST dissapointing main stage.

Im so sad I didnt leave and go to the tents this year, from every review Ive read that seems to be where the action was at this year

I agree! He mixed fine, but in terms of track selection and progression, it just went nowhere.

Any news on Nu NRG or Infected Mushroom?

Posted by Mark van Rick on Mar-30-2005 19:41:

Yes he made a rework of Jonesy - Independence (Stadium Mix). He only changed the baseline with his, more banging.
For Ridgewalkers - Find: maybe he played the Kyau vs. Albert Rmx?

I read somewhere that pvds doing his own edit of "find" for his new cd, so thats probably what it was. I wasnt there to tell though.

dude ur a mess.. i read your other posts.. you are WAY the fuck off. I been in this shit 10 years and that was the weakest primetime performances Ive ever heard at a serious event... and for you to comment negatively on Sasha and Digs in the other thread just goes to show how much of a rookie u r.. your ear has a long way to go

That's what they are:
Ferry Corsten - Galaxia
FB feat. Edun - Who's Knocking (Ferry Corsten Remix)

Posted by dartrance on Mar-31-2005 04:57:

Please tell me how PVDs set is any better than tiestos?

you crap on tiesto but pvd does the same shit. Both tracklists look like garbage.

Posted by djtroko on Mar-31-2005 04:58:

Sander dropped a remix of Styx - Mr. Roboto which in IMO is the best new tune I heard in the whole conference. I read that MV AKA ENVY did this remix. I am dying to get my hands on this choon.

IMO:

Junkie rocked but he dropped the exact same set he did in Crobar 3 nights before.
Oakenfold sucked but thats just my opinion cause he was dropping old shit and played Traffic before Tiesto
Tiesto - not my cup of tea nowadays and dropped a few old tunes he's played already @ Ultra and Bayfront... Could have done a more Techy and varied set but hell, he's "supposedly" # 1... yeah right!!!
PVD- My best Trance set of the night but god!!! give Times of our Lives some record shelter... Here's where he could have dropped an oldie that would be something he's not been canning for the last year and a half or 2... If I were him I would have dropped :

Step right on(2003 rmx)
Seven Ways (2004 rmx)
Tell me why

Thats just my opinion

By the Way

Sasha and Diggers def were the best set of the whole conference... These 2 really put up a show...

Yep, that's what it was. I've been in love with the Kyau Vs. Albert remix of that song for a while ever since I heard it on afterhoursdj.com. Armin dropped it in Hollywood on the 19th, then PvD again @ Space on the 25th. Twice in one week by two of my favorite DJs -- it was fantastic!

heh. I don't remember NU NRG's setlist that much.

I know Freefall, Dreamland, Tommotor, Atomo, U2 and 4 new trax

very very great sound !!!!!!

Posted by apocu on Mar-31-2005 17:56:

Hell I was expecting all night for Tiesto to play Goldrush(Montana Remix) and not even that. Quoting Cartman: "BORING"!!! Paul Van Dyk played at least 2 times better and Junkie XL impressed me a little. Armin brought his best tunes atm and while it was pretty much the same I heard at Spin on Wednesday it was much better than hearing recycled tunes. But Sander K for me was the man of the hour at the Ultra.
