Beautiful looking Frog there, I had 2 water/land frog that never got bigger than 2 cm there whole life but nothing that looked that cool. But I'm curious bout something. When you said (the law says we can have two frogs in an enclosure).

Is that because you live in an Apt. Building or is that a Local, Providence, State, Country law?

Nah, I live in a house. That's Queensland state law, the other states are a bit different, but not by much. I can have up to 4 frogs, of 2 different species, but no more then 2 frogs of each species. QLD is also one of the only states where it's illegal to sell frogs.

Wow, we have certain law in America as well but not that strict.

Australia's wildlife laws are very strict these days. I actually think that's a good thing though.

Intentionally harming/killing native wildlife is a $100,000 fine now.

Do you get some sort of credit if you kill those bloody rabbits? Or are they not much of a problem any more?

Hmm, you know, I actually have no idea if rabbits are still a huge problem. I know that kangaroos are, but it's a bit more tricky to deal with them since they're actually native animals.

You've stumped me, Lira. Stumped me.

Edit: The only thing I remember regarding rabbits, recently, is from the drought time, where they were becoming less and less in numbers, and it started to effect the Wedgetail Eagle's food supply (and other large raptors).

Posted by Lira on Feb-06-2011 06:15:

Wait, how did kangaroos become a problem if their natural predators live there!? Besides you can eat them, can't you?

And those eagles are just slacking now, they clearly had something else to chomp before bugs bunny and friends mass fornicated in the Australian continent.

Was about to launch into a tirade, damn you. Troll!

Yes, you can eat kangaroo, it's quite delicious. Super lean meat, it's probably the healthiest red meat there is.

The kangaroos natural environment has been destroyed by land-clearing and farming, mostly. For some reason though, they've bred up in huge numbers, and cause issues everywhere.

Like humans, I guess

Igloofest - 27, 28, 29 janvier 2011 from Piknic Electronik on Vimeo.

Party in Montreal, Canada called Igloofest. Happens Thurs, Fri and Sat nights for three weeks in January. Temps two weeks ago were -22f. Last weekend when I went it was only -5 though. They reached the highest attendance ever that night, 9,000 people. Pretty crazy party. Looking forward to next year.

Oh, and not my shots of course.

do you get alot of urban roos? i know my in-laws have a lot that come and go and just kind of hang out on their property.. they live just outside of gympie though on a few acres. we have urban deer here and they don't do much harm either then eat your tulips/bulbs and destroy your cedars. you have to keep a good eye out for them when you're driving at night though, although i have seen some use a pedestrian walk, most just cross carelessly. here's some deer that frequent our house..

this one clearly thinks he is better then the others with his rags..

sorry about the poor quality.. i've shown my mum how to turn off the flash 100 times but for some reason she doesn't believe me and pushes all the other buttons and changes the settings.

that's awesome how the deer that frequent your house have sweeet horns. you could take one down and put it on your wall as a trophy

we have a ton of deer that are constantly relaxing in and passing through my backyard- seen as many as 15 at one time. usually only 1 or 2 have horns, though.

Even though they can be cute, we are tired of deer in our area due to over population, they bring Lyme disease ticks into the yard, they'll eat your garden to the ground.
