It will be more of a house/progressive house set compared to what i would play headlining somewhere like Metropolis. Other than that, theres a tenative date for Dayton in November that we are working on. You can always check the myspace page for confirmed gigs. www.myspace.com/djkenneththomas Looking forward to this weekend ![]() -kt |
for those of you who missed Tiesto and KT a little recap-
KT started out and finished the night incredibly strong. for someone I know little about/have heard little from, he's an impressive force! It was really cool to see Tiesto turn over the tables to him around 2:30 and bow out graciously.
Tiesto brought the energy!!! I haven't seen him this good in 2 years (Crobar, June 2005 was really the last truly great set I've personally seen from beginning to end)!!!
The crowd was really into it too. Being an east coast girl I wasn't sure how this region would take the music/vibe...but it was all positive and totally refreshing. I hope the EDM scene continues to grow in Cleveland b/c there is a lot of potential around here to host some amazing DJs. For once I did't have to compete for space with some obnoxious drunk New Jersey grease-ball...
Anyone else have thoughts? I'm still a little heady from the whole thing and can't coherently put together words anymore.
With that, goodnight!
KT warmed the crowd up nicely - nothing unusual there. Tiesto kept the energy going with an excellent set of his own. KT finished up and I was impressed with how many people he was able to keep in the club (usually people are flowing out the door once the main act is done).
Sorry I didn't get to meet any OHTA's, but well, I don't think I would've been able to find anyone anyway - at least I got to initiate my sister into the scene with one helluva show!

set list
Dose anyone have or know where to find tiesto's set list from last night? Great night both from KT and Tiesto. Was a little suprised Tiesto just didn't come on later and then end with him, but still an amazing show.

Excited
if ANYONE has a MP3 of the dance remix of Tegan and Sara "Back Into Your Head" pleeeease let me know so I can have you email it to me.
Tiesto played it...very very pleasantly surprised and its been stuck in my head ever since. I reeeally want a dance version (even though the original is just as good!)
I wish someone would have recorded his set---it was rare, energetic, and eclectic from beginning to end compared to the past few times I've seen him.
Did anyone notice about 20 minutes before he left and gave it over to KT that he suddenly lost his trademark smile and energy? It was like someone flipped a switch...wonder what sparked the mood change.
I was crammed in the very front by the stage so I couldn't see if maybe people started leaving, so he just wanted to wrap things up.
I just need a play list, damn it

I saw the bouncers (big beefy fellas) haul a couple of little dudes away early on - I forget when really, but it was entertaining.
I do know that KT played this interesting remix of Zombie Nation - a bit faster, but the basic tune was unmistakable.

As always, AMAZING time in Cleveland. Good to hear people enjoyed the night. Looking forward to returning.
To answer a few of the questions from above.
I wasnt actually supposed to go back on. Tiesto was supposed to close it out, but he personally asked me to go on for a few when his set was done. It was a very nice surprise to have the core of the crowd stay and rock out that last 30 minutes as i was expecting the crowd to thin once the man of the hour was done. The track that Tuis was mentioning above is not Zombie Nation, although i do see the similarities, its actually the new Ferry Corsten, its called Brainbox. Not sure of a release date on that.
To adress the person who was asking about Tiestos demeaner the last 15-20 minutes, i dont think anything was wrong, i just think his set was over and he was trying to sort out the exit strategy. He needed to coordinate the car service and figure out how the night was going end. I know he was in good spirits when i went back on.
Again, thanks for making my return to Cleveland a very memerable one, hope to see you guys again soon.
oh... If you enjoyed my set, maybe i can entice you to come and party with me on New Years at Bleu in Detroit. Its only my 2nd true headline set in my home town this year and last year was mindblowing. The drive is only 2.5 hours and hotels are cheap. Come out if you can!
Cheers,
-kt

Thats what I'm sayin I was a lil freaked out about it. He seriously was just pummeling the dude and the kid went airborne on the stairs.
Anyways i forgot to mention in the last post....what a show I've never seen it that packed...at least at PvD and Ferry last year hell yeah Tijs!.
Sorry though it was nothin compared to Labour of Love earlier this month...
