I'm usually there, like, always. Let me know when your gonna be out at a show sometime. Ferry Corsten (April 17), and Sasha/Digweed (April 9) are obvious must attend shows. Other ones I know of are Josh Gabriel (Apr 12), 4 Strings (Mar 14), and Charles Feelgood this Saturday. Other than that, Bristol Bar is probably the best place to catch some EDM every weekend. Bento GoGo on campus has some weeknight events featuring local djs. BoMA is by far the most impressive venue in Ohio, but they only have sporadic dj events, including the 4 Strings show listed above. Cleveland has some cool spots and I'm almost always game for a roadtrip .

wow sounds like you have your shit together man! haha yeah i'll for sure be trying to go to those must attends then. i just went to BoMA last weekend for jimmy van m..he put on a pretty good set IMO. The place is INCREDIBLE ...the crowd was kindof a different story, but all in all was a fun night (aside from getting charged 25 bucks by a shifty taxi for the ride there). yeah i live right across the street basically from Bento and go there every now and then with friends when its during the week and we dont feel like drinking in the dorms.. but yeah i'll definitely get back to you on the next show i'm planning on going to. let me know the same thing..i trust your judgment in shows more than my own lol.. later

i dunno about any of you...but i had a lot of fun last night. it was a very good warm up to WMC! Hearing Born Slippy made me realize in 27 days I'll be in Bicentennial Park hearing Born Slippy by the originals--Underworld!!!!

I have no clue who the opening DJ was, but he was really good too! Definately got my butt moving.

THe first half of his set sucked ass imo - too much electro. The second part was amazing.

I was a bit bummed out that I didn't get to meet any TAs. What the heck do you guys look like? I was the tall guy in a red "communist party" shirt.

i couldn't tell ya what anyone looked like except for this funny little dude named Nate in a plaid jacket that insisted on dancing..very slowly, with me. it was a trip. but i'm happy to see cleveland jumpin!
we need a good mix of electro/house/trance to keep the flow going, and considering hardly any DJs come through here on a regular basis, i'll take as much of anything as i can get!
next time we'll all have to plan a little bit better to meet up...have like a designated TA corner or something.

Just wanna thank everyone that came out to Grind and those that did not make it....We hope to see ya next month. I also wanna give you guys some dates to save. We have the biggest shows in the world coming to Cleveland in the upcoming months. I cannot give you some of the names yet due to contract restrictions with the DJS agents and when we are allowed to release the promotion etc., but I want you all to just trust me.

Wow, that's an extremely nice line up so far. I'll definitely be attending these shows. I'm also really excited to see Darude. I went to both of his shows here in Cleveland and he didn't disappoint.

I had Double O Flemming here in 2002 @ Moda. Defo rips it! Darude has played for us 4 times in Cleveland with at minimum 800 people there everytime. Cleveland loves him, he is incredible for sure. Flawless mixing and track selection. He mostly plays his own stuff that no one has ever heard. He is an amazing producer too!

I agree. He seems to be getting better with his productions every year. You should also try bringing dallas superstars with him like 2 years ago.

thank god someone has some sense! he's been criticized by "mainstream" EDM standards for being weak...his home country thinks he's a bit of a joke, but i love him and everytime i've seen him he doesn't disappoint. sometimes i think its better to be not taken seriously so you have more room to grow and do your own thing--which he certainly does. always gets me on my feet :-D

i'm definately going to try to work my schedule around Ferry and A&B in april. I don't think I'll see A&B at WMC even once, so i'll need it!!! know any good hotels close to sugar that don't cost a lot?? i can't do that drive again without sleeping somewhere first!

Usually the hotels are pretty cheap, even right downtown. I'll see you at WMC with more info. You should drag a bunch of clevelanders down for those shows.

i need to MEET some cool clevelanders first...tried to get some people out for KT last week with less than stellar results..mainly me, alone dancing my ass off haha. can't say cleveland has got the enthusiasm i'd like to see...
pretty much everyone i know, from home in Philly to the new home of Cleveland doesn't like EDM at all, so i usually go alone.
I'll work on raising that army though!

Just wanted to let you Clevelanders know that I will be having my first "gig" next Tuesday. It will be at the bar "City and East" in Coventry. I will be playing a lot of tech/electro/straight up house. I mostly spin prog house, but I don't think it fits the venue. So if you're bored - come out and show some support. There's no cover and the bar is pretty nice. They have a section with couches where you can smoke hookah.

The reason it's on Tuesday is that the owner wants to see if he can attract some EDM crowd. If it works out - I'll be playing on Fridays (it's a really slow day there so he's willing to try something new.

Thanks! I hope so too. This won't be easy because in a sense, I would have to attract a whole new crowd (on busy nights, it's usually the top40 crowd). Another problem is that I will have to pull off a 4hr set.

It's right on top of Johny Malloy's. The place looks like a movie theater. it's on the corner of coventry and euclid heights blvd.

you should come up for Christopher Lawrence Saturday before WMC. Easter is the next day so it'll be an easy one for me, no work Sunday! thank you jesus...
it's gonna be a good warm up and CL isn't doing WMC this year so it'll be special we'll be able to brag that we got to party with CL the "week of" WMC!!!
lemme know if you're coming up. we have a futon if you need to crash..and a cat that'll lick your arm while you sleep.
