Woot! Thanks to all those who ripped, uploaded, re-encoded and have now given us this set in all its glory!! Back to the glory days of the white isle; long before Bass Hunter...

Well, I tried downloading again, and it STILL doesn't work!

When I just open it in the Firefox web browser, it works normal and the file is being played by Quicktime, but when I download it and try to play it, it gives me an error message.

I had problems with FF too, so I tried IE and it worked. I think your FF is blocking scripts so you're not getting the login box where you have to entere username and password to access the file.

This is THE uplifting set no doubt.

Any opportunity to revisit Chicane's absolutely amazing 2000 live set is always welcome, thanks.

This takes me back...

Yea it's the last one. He has played it in another recorded set as well, but this set has the best quality and longest sample of it.

This set is so great. It makes me miss the trance of old..

Dear community,

your feedback totally makes my day. And thanks to emc^2, I've got space to build an online mirror of my archives. Today I give you

RMB - live @ Go! Park Herfurt (Germany), 07.04.2001
Oliver Momm - Gigamix 1998

uid = trance
pwd = addict!

(Please keep emc^2's fair-use policy in mind - thank you!)

So, what do you think?

How to open this file on my Itunes? I want it on my Ipod..

This file has some really strange extension that I never came accross in my life so far..

Listen better. Synths, drums, fx, they all sound clearer.

It dosent ends there.. I heard a lot of new melody, new synth, new beats which were hidden in old file but is clearly audible in this 979 bitrate version. Old file was very good, but this even better, amazing, its like I am listening to totally different another new liveset.

Never posted my appreciation for this set. It is fucking phenomenal, one of my all-time favorites for sure. The energy and quality is just fantastic the entire way through. It may be a little late but thank you so much for putting this up.

So I downloaded the set from this website, and as I understand it this is a 256kbps copy/58min long copy of the same set that the OP was referring to? Just want a confirmation

bump for ToF

Posted by Lews on May-18-2009 07:59:

Thank you OP and thank you bumper!

I haven't heard this set in years. So amazing. Thank god that while the glory days of trance might be behind us, at least there are terabytes and terabytes of sets on the internet to still listen to.

Posted by Magnetonium on May-18-2009 21:58:

Great bump! The mixes mentioned are classics, I haven't listened to that Paladium set in years ...

Thanks to those who provided their time, effort and bandwidth!

Posted by enydo on May-19-2009 00:52:

This set is still awesome and I still listen to it lots.

HOW DOEZ HE DJ THO?

Posted by daphunky1 on May-19-2009 18:25:

It always bothers me a bit that people refer to this as a mix. I guess technically it's all one file, and it doesn't ever completely stop, but come on, wtf was he doing? I can't enjoy it like I potentially could since he put zero effort into it....though Mojave is amazing. That second build up sends me flying.

Live PA methinks.

Perhaps he is doing more than I give him credit for. It would be nice to know...

I really can't understand why people think this is a dj set

Chicane doesn't dj, never has. Notice how it says "live", it was a live act. Think Greyarea, Underworld, Spooky, etc.

Actually there has been couple of sets that have floated around with him DJing - more like stringing along tracks. I believe there were broadcasts on Galaxy back in 2001-2002.

Anyway for you to convert the rest to mp3??? I understand that's asking alot, but I don't have the software (nor the money to buy a license) to do this.... If not, understandable, no big deal......

Posted by daphunky1 on May-21-2009 05:09:

So what do you think he was actually doing... other than playing an already produced track and then starting another fully produced track?
I don't have a good enuf knowledge of production to understand how anything he would have been doing would be impressive (if it actually was). It it's just great tracks to credit him as a producer then I guess that's cool.

Posted by vhx1 on May-21-2009 08:17:

Still one of my favorite sets of all time. Thanks to OP!!!!!
