Killswitch Happy Hour w/ Mike Khoury, Brian Walls & Mossmoss!
About Mike Khoury :
Its hard to believe that once upon a time, Mike was growing up dance music deprived in suburban America. Fortunately, that all changed when friends dragged him to his first underground EDM event in Chicago. It wasnt long before he bought turntables - and started spending more money on his records than his rent. And so began Mikes journey into vinyl junkie-ism.
Five years later, Mikes sets span the spectrum of techno, from deep and housey to driving and percussive. Think wicked basslines, constant groove, and plenty of dance floor funk to keep late night revelers on their toes. Mike draws inspiration from the cutting edge sounds coming out of Berlin without forgetting his Chicago roots.
Mike has an extensive history of opening and headlining gigs, having shared the decks with artists including Lee Burridge, Gaiser, Matthew Dear, Anja Schneider, Chris Liebing, Pan-Pot, Sebo K, Exercise One, Cassy, Ambivalent, Adultnapper, Ryan Elliott, Misc./Niederflur, Sian, Touane, Maetrik, and Jason Emsley.
As a resident for listed, Mikes played in San Francisco, LA, NYC, and Miami, plus countless gigs in Chicago. In 2007, he founded the Varsity Allstars a dayraving extravaganza with quarterly parties across the US. Having launched listed in Chicago, Mike has combined DJing with promotion giving a swift jolt to Chicagos warehouse party scene with some of the years most unforgettable nights.
With a recent move to London, Mike began a residency with the Lost Souls crew giving him the chance to show his stuff for clued-in techno crowds at infamous underground venues Unit 7, The Key, and Bar 54. Mikes become a regular favorite at Public Life, the citys beloved underground toilet-turned-club, where his closing sets have twisted the heads on Londons most notorious dancefloor.
2008 was a big year for Mike, with bookings from Europe to Tahiti and everywhere in between. Mike capped off his summer with a 7 hour back-to-back marathon with Lee Burridge at Kudos Beach in Romania and a slamming set with fellow listed resident Hac Le to close out the Lovefest Festival in San Francisco. Mike has recently been selected by Burridge to open for him across the US, with gigs including SF, Chicago, and Miami (WMC). Watch for Mike to begin pushing his production work in 2009 as he continues making his mark on the underground circuit.

This week @ KILLSWITCH: Barcelona's in the House!
About Tres Manos :
High-five him twice and he'll still have a free hand to make sure the beat dont stop - Tres Manos can always be counted on to be spinning the freshest deep and chunky house in town. Crowds from Denver to Deutschland have been electrified by his three-deck dexterity and contagious charm. While a student of architecture at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Tres (Bradley Telleria) began to minor in groove design and funk engineering, cutting his teeth spinning Electo and Breakbeat at the citys underground rave parties. His talent was noticed by the Kalisher Brothers, later to be proprietors of the much-respected Club Soma in Boulder, and he
was invited to be the resident at Freedom. Here he learnt the ways of the Chicago House sound and got himself a reputation as one (or three, depending how you count it) of the hottest hands on the circuit, playing with three turntables and an infectious good vibe. Freedom ended in 1996, and Brad went on to rip it up at his legendary underground Red parties. Yeah, we know you weren't there, but you'd be a lot cooler if you could say you had been. Red blew up and got too big for its cozy confines, moving to Club Velvet in downtown Denver, and during this time Tres hit the road and jacked it all over the US and even found time to headline a Red Bull Red Underground tour in the Colorado mountains.
A live mix CD, How to Chill, was released to rave reviews (pun intended) in 1998, on Brads own 15 Digit Recordings. He shared the booth with such house-hold names as King Britt, Johnny Fiasco, Mark Grant, Mark Farina, Dubtribe, Joshua (Iz), Marquez Wyatt, and Hipp-E among others. You want venues? Try Silk City and Bongo Lounge (Philly), Pure Love (Richmond, VA), Electric Company, Buggin Out, and Stompys Dig In (San Fran), Club Sol (Atlanta), Red Dog and Double Door (Chicago), Lollapalooza (NYC), Red (DC), Burning Man in Nevada, along with anyplace in Denver where fine house has ever been heard.
But in the spring of 1998, our wandering Housejacker came down from the mountains, put on his travel boots, and headed all the way to Barcelona, Spain, where he quickly entered the scene with two guns blazing and bag of 12 ammo strapped across his back. The list of places hes played in the town by the sea reads like any self-respecting house heads guide of where to get your dance on: The Apolo, La Terrazza, City Hall, Walden 8, Maumau, Fonfone, KGB, as well as the annual Placton cruise ship parties. If this boats undockin', you can bet Tres Manos will keep it rockin'. With a rap sheet longer than a 50-year old gangster, if you haven't seen him
play its not because he hasn't made it to your town. He's blazed a trail across the continent and back more times than you could count on three hands, with such illustrious stops as Rachidingue (Girona), Coppelia (Madrid), ACTV and Intertechno (Valencia), Sala Estrella (Tarragona), Lasal (Mataro), Morocco (LEscala), Jacaranda (Calella), Vega (Copenhagen), Nachtwerk Club, Werkbar, The Kitchen (Munich, Germany), Suxul (Ingolstadtt, Germany), Dasda (Eichstatt, Germany), Dncng (Andorra), We LoveSundays (Stockholm), HSPTL Club (Khabarovsk, Russia), and back to the States to play at Endup (San Francisco), APT and Sullivan Room (NYC) and Club 5 (Wash. DC.). Tres serves up beats so chunky he's gotta cut em up for you and house so dirty you might not want to sit on the floor, though not many people have the ability to stay seated when hes spinning anyway.
What do Kenny Hawkes, Jef K, Gemini, Theo Parrish, Ralph Lawson, Brett Johnson, Rasoul, Miguel Migs, Johnny Fiasco, Trip do Brasil (Russ Gabriel), Eddie Amador, Vincenzo, DJ Sneak, Tom Middleton, DJ Rush, John Selway, Heather, Geoffroy, Alton Miller, Schatrax, Funk d Void, East Coast Boogiemen, and Nigel Hayes have in common? They've all spun with Brad. He's spent a night with more famous DJs than a professional groupie, and even with his travels he's had time to co-run the label, Justified Cause, start up his own booking agency, UMA (Underground Music Agency), run his weekly residency, Red Underground, that showcases guest DJs from all around the world. He's also hard at work with his musical productions (some under the name 2 Cheap Tricks with good friend and Label Partner GarcyNoise) and various vocal projects. He has releases on OM Records, Aesoteric, Detour, Greenhouse, Klassik Fiasco, and his own label, Justified Cause which you are sure to hear on dancefloos of destinction.
Leaving booties shaken and crowds stirred, this beat barman mixes with a deft hand and doesn't skimp on the hard stuff. Raise your glass and shake your ass, Tres Manos is here to make you remember what house is all about..
About International Bitch :
Until a few years ago, International Bitch had never once thought that the world of music would be where she'd find her true calling and greatest fulfilment. With an educational background in design and literature, a love of dance and passion for words, it seems that chance played a greater part than actual wilfulness in her beginnings as a DJ. Seren- dipity....
A broad-minded and multidisciplinary character, she went with the flow, aware that sometimes embracing what happens to come our way brings greater blessings than the dogged pursuit of other
purposes. Discovering ones' talent sometimes take an entire lifetime ...
Little by little, she started to make her mark on the Barcelona club scene, playing gigs in almost every venue worth a mention and soon to be offered a residency at Astin, one of the city's household names. Astin then became the lab where, for a whole year, she would concoct her legendary sessions, every Friday and Saturday, experimenting with deep, elegant and feminine beats and venturing beyond those boundaries with an amalgam of body-rocking techno and her very own brand of tech-house hybrid sounds, her personal party time favourite.
Offers for international gigs soon came trickling in, and several invitations to come and grace the club scenes of Canada, Sweden and Italy strengthened her in her decision to fully embrace this new direc- tion.
International Bitch's first productions were quick to follow and saw her team up with DJ Tres Manos and Garcynoise, working under labels like S-sens Records and Justified Cause. She is now exclu- sively dedicated to Justified cause, A passionate, spirited and fun-loving individual, International Bitch's goals include setting up her own band and playing live gigs and performances. Boosted by a plethora of positive reviews, she is currently working on her first studio album release for Justified Cause.
