The story behind you and Ta
Who started you or how did you hear about Tranceaddict?
Tom showed me this site about 2 years ago when we were searching for music on Napster.
i had always seen this site on id3 tags from mp3s, but never really posted. i was always on the rmf forums, i didn't really have time for two forums. plus i liked the rmf forums (color wise) better. but then they turned to hell and ta dragged me in! turned out for the better.
i think i heard about it when i was at tiesto at exit. but i cant remember from who or why... (maybe it was from john?)
I've almost been here for two years now... (Ah, the memories!)
I think I heard about TA from the old BXR forums...
mr. beema
napster
came here to dl the videos

I found it on a search engine while looking for trance mp3s to download, that was like 3 years ago? Never decided to join the forums until 2 months ago
i forgot how i found out about tranceaddict but i would always come check out what the latest debate was....
one day i had a question about PvD and i went into the chatroom...said i had a question about pvd and billu laughed and told me to talk to arturo... it's history since then!!
but, Matt is the one that got me posting in the NY forums.. we met when we both interviewed mauro and just continued to talk thru IM..
and here i am!
I think there was a thread on this before...so lemme remember what I wrote...
I think, I went to see Armin or Ferry or somebody at Glow. And I think I was wearing my Trance.nu shirt and dancing around in the front...and then this crazy kid with a turban asks me if I'm a TA, and I'm like "wtf is TA??"
and the rest is history
so baisically, it's all Amit's fault that I'm a TA
hehe
oh my beema an evil T.nu peep
well me I heard about it from a friend in France whom I knew online since like 98/99 or something and he was big time into trance as was I and then he talked to me about TA I think I joined a year after
one day i asked my friend where he got all of his trance videos from. he gave me the link.
boring, i know... but ive actually been here for a LONNGGGGG time. almost two years.

I have been on Club Planet since 2000 I think, but never really posted. I used it for Guestlists and stuff. After PvD in November 2002 I was going NUTS trying to get a tracklisting and ID the "Your Mama's Alright Song" - still no ID, of course! (
)
Anyway, Taub suggested TA and busted my ass till I posted...he DID start a nice welcome thread for me. From that thread I met JP, John, Arturo, etc and everyone was just so nice that I was addicted immediately.
I also hung out with John the very first weekend I was a TA and we had lots of fun. He introduced me to everyone else and here I am today!! I am _QUITE_ happy I became a TA and I owe it all to Matt - Thanks, buddy
When I am rich and famous I won't forget you! lol
Took me a few minutes, but I remember now heh - Some random person just IMed me someday on AIM (Because of my profile since it says what DJ's I like, and this person liked the same ones and was bored i guess) So we were talking about AvB, Tiesto, PvD, etc, and he just asked me if I knew about TA - And I was like "whaaa" So I checked it out, but it didn't really intrest me back then for some reason. It wasn't untill I got back from WEMF in Canada of 2001 - That's when I started posting. I wanted to read review about the event, and I remembered that this website was based out of Canada, so I decided to check it out again - So I did, and joined and started posting and have been ever since
History Lesson
Now that I look back at it, Napster is what first brought me to TA. They had "tranceaddict.com" attached to a couple of song names. I had a hard time finding out what parties were going on in the city, and with a bit of searching I then found the NY forum. Then one day I got the guts to participate in a party discussion, and things just blew up from there. John's colapsing in Exit (Tiesto, Dec 2001) was our first encounter with Melissa, but we didn't even know she was Butterfly until days afterwards. Greg was then tagged by John during another Exit party (Ferry, April 2002), cause he recongized him from the avatar. Matt was another original, but I don't remember how he came into the picture. From there on, everyone we knew or met ended up knowing another TA and the group just kept getting bigger and bigger. I know John met Brianna at Exit during the Deep Dish party, Ian we met briefly during PVD at Sound Factory, and I can't remember where the hell Alex came from

Hmm, I can't recall excatly, but it has to do something with Eurodancehits.com. Then, very slowly, I have met some of you( I began meeting people face to face when I migrated to the New York forums). Its been two years now since I joined, but, technically, I am still a lurker. Nobody's fault but my own, though.
a *former* friend told me about this site. I read it for a good 6 months before I started posting. Actually, I met most of you before I started posting, but none of you seem to remember that, except John. lol
