$4,599.00 Dj Mixer!!
This thing better make me sound like PVD for $4,599.00!

For that price I'm surprised it doesn't mix for you. Looks more like something you would use to mix instruments for a band (like in a recording studio...not a mixer someone would use to DJ.

thats craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy
I chit chatted with Barry Ashworth from the Dub Pistols once, and he was telling me about playing at a club in Singapore (I think it was Zouk, most likely was, but I don't remember what he said exactly), but they had a rotary mixer.
He said it was crazy to use, but once you got the hang of it it was really nice.

| Originally posted by Tranc3 It's a hpf for 30-600hz, which basically makes it more of a lowcut, not a highpass...you control how much of the lower end gets passed through. I think that's pretty much the "low eq knob" you were talking about. |

Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price is: 3,199.84 GBP (United Kingdom Pounds) -OR- $5,889.54 USD (US Dollars)
And the reason this mixer is so expensive is the parts and circuitry used within the unit. Allen & Heath are known for excellent sound boards used in big studios and they are using the technology from those and building them into these DJ mixers. If you hooked this up to a setup that is using a Pioneer mixer... the difference in sound would be totally amazing. It would make the Pioneer look like shit.
You have to remember... all your audio sources go through the mixer. How the mixer handles the sound is very important.

Ugh. I'm getting fed up with hostile attitudes on here. One can correct another politely or suggest a different opinion without being vulgar and possibly hurting feelings.
