the vocalist is just a female-vocoder, I saw it in a review somewhere, dunno where exactly anymore...

I also found nothing about a project with a vocalist at Hooligan's site

so it's a female vocoder

I didnt have a problem answering your question (well I did because I didn't know the answer) its just I'm in the middle of revising for exams and had a quick look on Google, got close but couldnt find anything.....so just suggested you look there a bit further

A vocoder doesn't generate vocal sounds, it modifies them. You have a carrier line, and a modulation line. No synthesis line.
