Tiesto playin the G&D remix of Hello
yey on tranceairwaves at 15-5, tiesto really played a beautifull version of
Evanescence - Hello
which was identified as the Gabriel and Dresden Rmx, although it sounds a bit different from the version that was posted here some months before. Ah: The set is available at DJMixes2k.com ... is there any info if this beauty got licensed now or so?
thx dreamONE
OK, to answer your question, NO, it won't be released.
I read a thread from davedresden a couple of weeks ago and he basically said "Evanescence does not appreciate electronic music, so it won't be getting a release".
You can search all of the posts by davedresden if you want to read exactly what he said.
yeah kay understand. but tbh if evanescence said this, they are pricks :<
"Evanescence does not appreciate electronic music, so it won't be getting a release".
omfg they[evanescence] are calling themselves artists? not looking forward, only for their own profit ... this is so lame :<

tbh i like her voice very much but i cannot understand the decision of not going beyond their music and trying something else. even linkin park did that with their reanimation album ...

boycottt evanescence. I can't believe they said this. Even if you don't appreciate EDM, how can you not appreciate what G&D did for that song. I mean if I wrote a song and guys like Gab and Dres remixed it so masterfully, I would be honored.
Maybe their just pissed cuz it owns the original. Jealous religious goths.
Maybe Dave should tell them it's gonna be on the new In God We Trust compilation, then they'll be like "ok sure. Jesus owns joo."
I almost went to see them last weekend and now I'm kind of glad that I didn't.
This reminds me of when Sarah McLachlan first threw a fit about people remixing her stuff in the 90's. Remember how she threatened a lawsuit? She was enlightened by how much exposure her music got to people that would never hear it otherwise and soon began embracing EDM.
Also...Radiohead threw a fit about Tiesto and Oakenfold remixing Street Spirit. If anyone has heard Tiesto's remix of Street Spirit how can you not think that song is bad ass? I probably would have never heard that song if it wasn't for listening to a live set. When I heard Tiesto's remix at Ultra...that song just blew me away.

| Originally posted by Sand Leaper Oh yea, and Oakenfold never remixed Street Spirit. I think this is probably the 15th time I've said that. The remix you're on about is Wonky's Feel The Rush Remix which Oakey caned left right and centre during his EM World Tour. |

Her voice is shit!
I wonder who's the great producer behind all this! It's definately good, but as already mentioned, life for profit.
Evanescence is the bitch, and the music industry it's pimp.
what do artists have to lose when releasing a remix of their track?
the only thing i can see is that it helps them get promoted more
oh well stupid/ignorant ppl...
Perhaps we should consider that they just don't like electronic dance music? I mean, maybe they really just don't like the sound of it at all and were pissed off that G & D remixed "their song". We all love the remix (well many of us), but many rock/alternative fans would think its pure shit.
For example, would you like it if they made a hip hop remix of Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel?? No, you would think it was the biggest piece of crap ever made.
Just a thought.....
P.S. I agree that they can't really complain about getting more exposure.
hm i personally wouldn't care about a for an angel hiphop rmx if i was pvd, because i want to take a step forward ... and if the hip hop scene is satisfied ....
