James Holden - Nothing (93 Returning Mix)

I've listened to this track about ten times today. Good GOD, this track owns me.

Will always be in Top 10 to me.

it is amazing, although i like the original better because i really dig the lyrics. not that i dont like they 93 returing lyrics but i just like to hear them in the original. i love this guy.

i also prefer the original

It definitely has that "James Holden sound", that's for sure. Thumbs up!

man i first heard it on ferrys spundae cd, and didnt really care for it. then one day i really listened to and it blew me away! the intro alone is top tier man. does anyone know if there is a dub to the 93 returning, i know theres one for the original.

I do not know if there is a "93 Returning" dub. What does "93 Returning" mean, anyway? Is there a story behind it?

Problem for me when I listened to it at first, were the highly gated, choppy-n-processed vocals. This puzzled me greatly. But I gradually acclimated

This track has been around for ages, probably a year or even more (in fact it's definitely more than a year!). Good track though, really innovative

The chopped-up vocals were what really drew me into it when I first heard it.

And yeah, this is pretty old. Why didn't you just post to an older thread?

I should have added that I had listened to the ORIGINAL mix of "Nothing" first, hence my confusion.

Sorry about that.

Same with me. I love hearing Thompson's (don't remember her first name) smooth vocals.

Original > 93 Returning Mix

everyone raves about that song, but it's not even one of my favorite Holden tunes. i like it, but not as much as some of his other songs.

Whats so great about this track... Don't find it that special.

Posted by TuanAnh213 on May-24-2004 06:43:

Yes they're both nice tracks.. But overrated IMHO.

Posted by Torley Wong on May-24-2004 07:26:

I never knew James Holden was so popular ?

Posted by starglider on May-24-2004 07:27:

Not overrated, but it has to be the 93 Returning mix. Original does little for me.

Her first name is Julie ... One of my friends has known her for years so I'm lucky enough to have quite a few tracks by her, she's got an absolutely amazing voice. Look out for new Holden & Thompson track "Come To Me" due later this year
